Setup
1. Battery Installation
The IBS-TH3 is powered by 3 AAA batteries (not included). To install the batteries:
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
- Insert 3 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. App Download and Wi-Fi Connection
The IBS-TH3 connects to your home Wi-Fi network (2.4 GHz only) via the INKBIRD app. 5G Wi-Fi is not supported.
- Download the INKBIRD app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
- Register or log in to your INKBIRD account.
- In the app, tap the '+' icon to add a new device.
- Select 'IBS-TH3' from the device list.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the device to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. This typically involves pressing and holding the button on the device for 5-8 seconds until the indicator light enters pairing mode.

Operating the Device
1. Real-time Monitoring
Once connected, you can view real-time temperature and humidity data directly from the INKBIRD app. The app displays current readings and historical trends.

2. Alarm Function
Customize alarm values for temperature and humidity. If the readings exceed or fall below your preset thresholds, you will receive an alert notification on your smartphone.

3. Data Storage and Export
The app stores historical data for up to one year, displayed in clear charts. You can export this data for further analysis.

4. Voice Control (Alexa Integration)
The IBS-TH3 supports voice control through Amazon Alexa. Link your INKBIRD account with Alexa to inquire about current temperature and humidity readings.

5. Sharing Device Access
You can share access to your IBS-TH3 device with other family members or users through the INKBIRD app's home management feature.
- Open the INKBIRD app and go to 'Me'.
- Select 'Home Management'.
- Choose the home you wish to add members to.
- Click 'Add Member' and enter the member's INKBIRD email account.

6. Battery Life Optimization
The battery life of the IBS-TH3 depends on the ambient temperature and the recording time interval. To maximize battery life, select a larger recording interval.

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and accuracy of your Inkbird IBS-TH3, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water. The device is not waterproof.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery alert is received. Use 3 new AAA alkaline batteries.
- Placement: Place the device in a location where it is not exposed to direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, or high humidity, unless specifically intended for such environments (e.g., inside a greenhouse, but not directly exposed to water).
- Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
Troubleshooting
- Device not connecting to Wi-Fi:
- Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4 GHz. The device does not support 5G Wi-Fi.
- Check that the device is within range of your Wi-Fi router.
- Verify your Wi-Fi password is entered correctly in the app.
- Restart your router and the IBS-TH3 device, then try connecting again.
- No notification alerts:
- Check your app settings to ensure alerts are enabled and thresholds are set correctly.
- Verify that the INKBIRD app has permission to send notifications on your smartphone.
- Ensure the device is connected to Wi-Fi and reporting data.
- Inaccurate readings:
- Ensure the device is placed in a stable environment, away from direct heat sources, vents, or drafts.
- Allow the device to stabilize for at least 30 minutes after initial placement or movement.
- Check for any physical obstructions or damage to the sensor area.
- Short battery life:
- Refer to the 'Battery Life Optimization' section and consider increasing the data recording interval.
- Ensure you are using fresh, high-quality AAA alkaline batteries.
