4. Setup Instructions

4.1 Battery Installation

  1. Main Unit: Open the battery compartment on the back of the main unit. Insert 3 x AAA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment.
  2. Outdoor Sensor: Open the battery compartment on the back of the outdoor sensor. Insert 2 x AA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment.

4.2 Sensor Placement

Place the outdoor sensor in a location that provides accurate readings and is within the 100m (328ft) transmission range of the main unit. For best results:

4.3 Initial Pairing

After installing batteries in both units, the main unit should automatically connect with the outdoor sensor. If the outdoor readings do not appear or are incorrect:

  1. Press and hold the "CH/SYNC" button on the main unit for 3 seconds to initiate a manual search for the sensor.
  2. Ensure the outdoor sensor is within range and its batteries are properly installed.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Display Layout

The color LCD display is divided into several sections:

5.2 Button Functions

The main unit features several touch-sensitive buttons:

5.3 Setting Time and Alarm

  1. Press and hold the "SET" button for 3 seconds to enter time setting mode. The hour digit will flash.
  2. Use the "UP" or "DOWN" buttons to adjust the hour.
  3. Press "SET" again to move to minute setting, then year, month, and day. Adjust each using "UP" or "DOWN".
  4. After setting the date, press "SET" to enter alarm setting mode. The alarm hour will flash.
  5. Adjust the alarm hour and minute using "UP" or "DOWN", pressing "SET" to confirm each.
  6. Press "SET" one last time to exit setting mode.

To activate/deactivate the alarm, press the "DOWN / ALARM" button briefly. An alarm icon will appear/disappear on the display.

When the alarm sounds, touch the top of the unit (snooze area) to activate the snooze function. The alarm will sound again after 5-60 minutes (default 5 minutes, adjustable in alarm settings).

5.4 Temperature Unit Selection

Press the "°C/°F" button to switch the temperature display between Celsius and Fahrenheit.

5.5 MAX/MIN Records

Press the "HISTORY" button repeatedly to view the maximum and minimum temperature and humidity recorded since the last reset. To clear these records, press and hold the "MAX/MIN CLEAR" button.

5.6 Backlight Function

The display features a backlight for improved visibility in low-light conditions. The backlight activates automatically when a button is pressed and turns off after approximately 30 seconds to conserve battery power.
