Milk Frothing
The manual milk frother allows you to create perfectly textured foam for lattes and cappuccinos. To use, turn the steam knob to activate the frother. For best results, use cold milk (2% milk is often recommended for optimal frothing). After frothing, clean the wand immediately by wiping it with a damp cloth and running a short burst of steam to clear any milk residue.

Hot Water Dispensing
The steam wand can also dispense hot water for tea or other hot beverages. Simply select the hot water function on the display and position a cup under the wand.
Maintenance
Cleaning
Regular cleaning is essential for maintaining your machine's performance and coffee quality. The drip tray and coffee puck container should be emptied and cleaned regularly. The brewing unit is removable and dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning. It is recommended to clean the brewing unit weekly by rinsing it under running water.

Descaling
The machine will indicate when descaling is required via a blinking light. Descaling removes mineral buildup and is crucial for the longevity of your machine. Always use a De'Longhi descaling solution and follow the step-by-step instructions provided in the full user manual. The frequency of descaling depends on your water hardness and usage.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Magnifica Evo, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- No Coffee Dispensed: Check water reservoir level, ensure coffee beans are present in the hopper, and verify the brewing unit is correctly inserted.
- Weak Coffee: Adjust the grind setting to a finer level, increase the coffee strength setting, or ensure fresh beans are used.
- Machine is Noisy: Grinding and brewing operations produce normal operating sounds. Excessive or unusual noise may indicate a need for cleaning or descaling.
- Indicator Lights: Refer to the full user manual for a complete list of indicator lights and their meanings.
