4. Setup

4.1 Powering the Scale

The UNIWEIGH K1705-B scale can be powered by two AAA batteries or via the included USB cable.

• Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment on the underside of the scale and insert the two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

• Press the Power button () to turn the scale on.
• Press and hold the Power button to turn the scale off. The scale also features a 180-second auto-shutdown function to conserve power.

5.2 Unit Conversion

Press the MODE button to cycle through the available weight units: grams (g), ounces (oz), grains (gn), carats (ct), troy ounces (ozt), and pennyweights (dwt).

5.3 Tare Function

The Tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, providing only the net weight of the ingredients.

1. Place an empty container on the scale platform. The display will show the container's weight.
2. Press the TARE button. The display will reset to zero.
3. Add your ingredients to the container. The display will now show only the weight of the ingredients.

When connected to the 'Gotobake' or 'Flexbake' app, the scale integrates with a database of 999 food types to calculate 19 different nutrients.

2. Place the food item on the scale. The weight will be displayed on both the scale and in the app.
3. Within the app, select the food type from the database. The app will then display detailed nutritional information (e.g., calories, carbohydrates, protein, fat) based on the measured weight.
