4.1 Powering the Scale

The UNIWEIGH K1705-B scale can be powered by two AAA batteries or via the included USB cable.

4.2 Initial Placement

  3. The app should automatically detect and connect to the scale via Bluetooth. Follow any on-screen prompts within the app to complete the connection.

Press the MODE button to cycle through the available weight units: grams (g), ounces (oz), grains (gn), carats (ct), troy ounces (ozt), and pennyweights (dwt).

5.3 Tare Function

The Tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, providing only the net weight of the ingredients.

  1. Place an empty container on the scale platform. The display will show the container's weight.
  2. Press the TARE button. The display will reset to zero.
  3. Add your ingredients to the container. The display will now show only the weight of the ingredients.

When connected to the 'Gotobake' or 'Flexbake' app, the scale integrates with a database of 999 food types to calculate 19 different nutrients.

  1. Ensure the scale is connected to the app.
  2. Place the food item on the scale. The weight will be displayed on both the scale and in the app.
  3. Within the app, select the food type from the database. The app will then display detailed nutritional information (e.g., calories, carbohydrates, protein, fat) based on the measured weight.
  4. Use the app to track your daily dietary intake, set goals, and monitor progress.
