4. Setup

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Turning On/Off
- To turn on, press and hold the power button until the LED display illuminates.
- To turn off, press and hold the power button again until the display turns off.
5.2 Temperature Adjustment
- Once powered on, use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the temperature.
- The temperature can be set between 120°C and 220°C in increments.
- The LED display will show the current temperature setting.
- Allow a few moments for the straightener to reach the desired temperature. The availability indicator will signal when it's ready.

5.3 Temperature Lock
- To lock the selected temperature, press the power button briefly. A lock icon will appear on the display.
- To unlock, press the power button briefly again.
5.4 Styling Tips
- Ensure hair is clean, dry, and tangle-free before styling.
- For straightening, take a small section of hair and place it between the heating plates. Gently glide the straightener from roots to ends.
- For curling or waving, rotate the straightener 180 degrees as you glide it down the hair section.
- The spring-mounted plates ensure even pressure and optimal contact with the hair.

5.5 Automatic Shut-off
- For your safety, the Beurer HS 50 Ocean Hair Straightener is equipped with an automatic shut-off function.
- If the appliance is not used for approximately 30 minutes, it will automatically turn off.
- To resume use, simply turn the appliance back on.

6. Maintenance and Care
6.1 Cleaning
