Figure 3: Proper weighing techniques. The top image shows single-hand operation for lighter items (0-15 kg), while the bottom image illustrates two-hand operation for heavier items (15-50 kg) to ensure stability and accuracy.
- Attach the scale's strap to the handle of the item you wish to weigh. Ensure the connection is secure.
- Lift the scale and the attached item smoothly and steadily.
- For lighter items (0-15 kg), single-hand operation is sufficient.
- For heavier items (15-50 kg), use both hands to lift the scale for better stability and accuracy.
- Hold the item steady until the weight reading stabilizes and locks on the display. The display will typically show a "HOLD" indicator.
- Once the weight is locked, you can lower the item and read the final measurement.
4. Tare Function
The tare function allows you to weigh items in a container by subtracting the container's weight.
- Turn on the scale and attach the empty container (e.g., a basket or bag) to the strap.
- Wait for the weight to stabilize.
- Short press the Power/Unit Button. The display will reset to "0.00", indicating the container's weight has been tared.
- Now, place the items you wish to weigh inside the container. The display will show only the net weight of the items.
5. Overload Indication
If the weight exceeds the maximum capacity of 50 kg (110 lb), the display will show "O-Ld" (Overload). Remove the item immediately to prevent damage to the scale.
6. Low Battery Indication
When the battery is low, the display will show "Lo". Replace the CR2032 battery as soon as possible to ensure accurate readings.
Maintenance
- Clean the scale with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse in water.
- Store the scale in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Avoid exposing the scale to extreme temperatures or humidity.
- If the scale will not be used for a long period, remove the battery to prevent leakage.
