1. Introduction

2. Important Safety Instructions

4. Setup

  3. Placement: Place the power base on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface. Ensure the power cord is not dangling or in contact with hot surfaces.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

The Korona 20670 kettle offers precise temperature control for various hot beverages.

  1. Filling the Kettle: Open the lid and fill the kettle with the desired amount of fresh water. Do not fill below the MIN mark or above the MAX mark on the water level indicator. Close the lid securely.
  2. Placing on Base: Place the kettle firmly onto the power base. The kettle can be placed in any direction on the 360° rotatable base.
  3. Setting Temperature: Use the temperature control dial located on the side of the base to select your desired water temperature. You can set it steplessly between 40°C and 100°C. The digital display will show the target temperature briefly, then revert to showing the current water temperature.
  4. Starting the Boiling Process: Press the touch-sensitive On/Off button. The indicator light will illuminate, and the kettle will begin heating the water. The digital display will show the water's temperature as it rises.
  5. Automatic Shut-off: Once the selected temperature is reached, or if 100°C is selected and the water boils, the kettle will automatically switch off, and the indicator light will turn off.
  6. Pouring: Carefully lift the kettle from the base and pour the hot water.
  7. Reheating: If the water has cooled, you can place the kettle back on the base and repeat the process to reheat it to your desired temperature.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your Korona kettle.

  • Before Cleaning: Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may scratch the stainless steel surface.
  • Interior Cleaning (Descaling): Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. To descale:
    • Fill the kettle with a mixture of water and white vinegar (1:1 ratio) or a commercial descaling solution.
    • Boil the mixture.
    • Let it stand for at least 30 minutes, or longer for heavy deposits.
    • Empty the kettle and rinse thoroughly with fresh water several times to remove any residue and vinegar smell.
  • Filter Cleaning: The integrated filter can be removed for cleaning. Rinse it under running water and gently brush away any deposits. Reinsert the filter securely after cleaning.
  • Storage: When not in use, ensure the kettle is clean and dry. You can wrap the power cord around the base for tidy storage.

7. Troubleshooting
