The MiraScreen K6 is a wireless display dongle designed to mirror content from your phone, tablet, or laptop to a TV, projector, or monitor. It supports screen mirroring and streaming without requiring mode switching, featuring a Dual Core 1.6G processor and Dual Decoder (H.265 / H.264) for high-definition 2K resolution output.

Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your MiraScreen K6 wireless display dongle:

  1. Connect to Display: Plug the MiraScreen K6 dongle into an available HDMI port on your television, projector, or monitor.

  3. Provide Power: Connect the USB power cable to the MiraScreen K6 and then to a USB power source. This can be a USB port on your TV or a USB power adapter (5V/1A recommended).
  4. Hand plugging the MiraScreen K6 USB power cable into a power adapter.

    Ensure the MiraScreen K6 is powered by connecting its USB cable to a power adapter or a USB port on your TV.

  5. Select Input: Switch your TV or display's input source to the corresponding HDMI port where the MiraScreen K6 is connected.
  6. Initial Wi-Fi Connection: On your smartphone or computer, connect to the MiraScreen K6's Wi-Fi network. The SSID (network name) and password will be displayed on your TV screen.
  7. Connect to Internet (Optional but Recommended): To enable internet access for the MiraScreen K6, open a web browser on your connected device and enter the IP address shown on the TV screen (e.g., http://192.168.203.1). From the settings page, select your local Wi-Fi network and enter its password to connect the MiraScreen K6 to the internet.

Operating Instructions

The MiraScreen K6 supports various mirroring and casting protocols without requiring manual mode switching. Simply connect and cast from your device.

Android Devices (Smart View / Miracast / Google Home / EZMira App)

  • Smart View / Miracast: For Android devices (e.g., Samsung S10), swipe down from the top of the screen to access the quick panel. Tap on 'Smart View' (or 'Screen Mirroring', 'Cast', 'Wireless Display' depending on your device model) and select your MiraScreen K6 device from the list. This method also supports mirroring content from applications like Netflix.
  • Google Home Casting: Download the Google Home app from the Google Play Store. Open the app, navigate to your account settings, select 'Mirror device', and choose your MiraScreen K6 to cast your Android screen.
  • EZMira App: Download the EZMira app from the Google Play Store. Open the app, tap 'Connect', and select your MiraScreen K6 device to initiate screen mirroring.

iOS Devices (AirPlay Screen Mirroring)

  • For iOS devices (e.g., iPhone XS), swipe down from the top-right corner (or up from the bottom for older models) to open the Control Center. Tap 'Screen Mirroring' and select your MiraScreen K6 device from the list.

Windows Devices (Chrome Browser Casting / Native Miracast)

  • Chrome Browser Casting: Open the Google Chrome browser. Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, select 'Cast...', and choose your MiraScreen K6 to mirror web pages.
  • Native Miracast: Press the Windows Key + P on your keyboard. Select 'Connect to a wireless display' and choose your MiraScreen K6 to mirror your entire desktop.

Mac Devices (Chrome Browser Casting / AirPlay Screen Mirroring)

  • Chrome Browser Casting: Similar to Windows, open Google Chrome, click the three-dot menu, select 'Cast...', and choose your MiraScreen K6 to mirror web pages.
  • AirPlay Screen Mirroring: Click the AirPlay icon in the menu bar at the top of your screen. Select your MiraScreen K6 device to mirror your Mac's display.

Always-On Hotspot Feature

The MiraScreen K6 can also function as a Wi-Fi hotspot, extending your local Wi-Fi signal coverage. This allows devices connected to the MiraScreen K6 to access the internet through its extended signal.

Maintenance

Firmware Upgrade

To ensure your MiraScreen K6 is always up-to-date with the latest features and performance improvements, regularly check for and install firmware upgrades:

  1. Connect your smartphone or computer to the MiraScreen K6's Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open a web browser and enter the IP address shown on the TV screen (e.g., http://192.168.203.1).
  3. In the settings menu, locate and select the 'Upgrade' option. Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the latest firmware.

Important: Do not disconnect power or interrupt the upgrade process once it has started.

Troubleshooting

  • No Display on TV: Ensure the MiraScreen K6 is securely plugged into the HDMI port and the TV input is set to the correct HDMI source. Verify the USB power cable is connected and receiving power.
  • No Wi-Fi Signal: Check that the MiraScreen K6 is powered on. If the SSID is not visible, try restarting the dongle by unplugging and replugging the USB power.
  • Connection Issues: If you cannot connect your device to the MiraScreen K6's Wi-Fi, double-check the password displayed on the TV screen. Ensure your device's Wi-Fi is enabled.
  • Lag or Stuttering: Ensure your MiraScreen K6 is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network. Reduce the distance between your casting device and the MiraScreen K6. Check for any obstructions that might interfere with the wireless signal.
  • Cannot Access Settings Page: Verify that your device is connected to the MiraScreen K6's Wi-Fi network and that you are entering the correct IP address (e.g., http://192.168.203.1) into your browser.
