Maintenance
Cleaning the Feeder
Regular cleaning ensures hygiene and extends the life of your feeder. The parts are designed for easy disassembly and cleaning:
- Disconnect Power: Always unplug the feeder from the power outlet before cleaning. If using battery backup, remove the batteries.
- Disassemble: Remove the stainless steel bowl, its holder, and the food tank. These parts are washable.
- Washable Parts: Wash the stainless steel bowl and the food tank with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reassembly.
- Non-Washable Parts: The main base unit containing the electronics and motor is not washable. Wipe it clean with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the base unit in water or allow water to enter the electronic components.
- Reassemble: Once all parts are dry, reassemble the feeder. Ensure the food tank is properly seated and the bowl is securely in place.
