This manual will guide you through the setup, operation, and maintenance of your new device to ensure optimal performance.

5. Setup

5.1. Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the alarm clock (refer to Figure 4.2).
  2. Slide the cover downwards to open the compartment.
  3. Insert 2 AAA batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover by sliding it upwards until it clicks into place.

The clock will power on automatically once batteries are installed.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Setting the Time

  1. Press and hold the SET button until the hour digits begin to flash.
  2. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the hour. Pay attention to the AM/PM indicator if using 12-hour format.
  3. Press the SET button again to move to the minute digits.
  4. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the minutes.
  5. Press the SET button one more time to confirm the time setting and exit the setting mode.

6.2. Setting the Alarm

  1. From the normal time display, press the SET button once (do not hold). The alarm time will be displayed, and the alarm icon (bell) may flash.
  2. While the alarm time is displayed, press and hold the SET button until the alarm hour digits begin to flash.
  3. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the alarm hour.
  4. Press the SET button again to move to the alarm minute digits.
  5. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the alarm minutes.
  6. Press the SET button one more time to confirm the alarm setting. The alarm icon (bell) will appear on the display, indicating the alarm is active.

6.3. Activating/Deactivating the Alarm

While in normal time display, press the UP button once to toggle the alarm on or off. The bell icon on the display indicates if the alarm is active.

6.4. Snooze Function

When the alarm sounds, press any button (except the SET button during alarm setting) to activate the snooze function. The alarm will pause for approximately 5-10 minutes (duration may vary) and then sound again. The 'ZZ' icon will appear on the display when snooze is active.

6.5. Adjusting Volume

Press the VOL button repeatedly to cycle through available alarm volume levels. The volume indicator on the display will change accordingly.

6.6. Backlight

The clock features a white backlight for easy viewing in low light conditions. The backlight activates automatically when the alarm sounds or when a button is pressed, and may have a temporary duration.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Cleaning

Wipe the clock with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the surface.

7.2. Battery Replacement

When the display becomes dim or the clock functions erratically, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the instructions in Section 5.1 for battery installation.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Display is blank or dim:
    Ensure batteries are correctly installed with proper polarity. Replace old batteries with new ones.
  • Alarm does not sound:
    Check if the alarm is activated (bell icon visible on display). Ensure the volume is not set to minimum.
  • Buttons are unresponsive:
    Remove and reinsert batteries to reset the device. If the issue persists, replace batteries.
