Key Features

Setup Guide

Customization and Maintenance

Hot-Swappable Switches

The Keychron V6 supports hot-swappable mechanical switches, allowing you to change them without soldering. This feature enables you to experiment with different switch types (e.g., linear, tactile, clicky) to find your preferred typing feel.

  1. Remove Keycap: Use the included keycap puller to gently remove the desired keycap.
  2. Remove Switch: Use the included switch puller to carefully grip the switch and pull it straight up.
  3. Insert New Switch: Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB and press down firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure pins are not bent.
  4. Replace Keycap: Press the keycap onto the new switch stem.

Keycap Replacement

The V6 comes with durable double-shot PBT keycaps. If you wish to replace them with alternative keycaps, use the keycap puller to carefully remove them. Ensure replacement keycaps are compatible with MX-style switches.
