3. Setup and Basic Operation

To begin monitoring, simply insert the KETOTEK energy meter between your appliance and the electrical outlet. The device will automatically start measuring power consumption for appliances operating above 2 watts.

3.1 Viewing Parameters

The meter features five buttons for navigating through different display modes:

  • Press M to display KWH (kilowatt-hours) and electricity cost.
  • Press + to display Watt (active power) and VA (apparent power).
  • Press OK to display true RMS voltage (Vrms) and true RMS current (Arms).
  • Press - to display Hz (frequency) and PF (power factor).
  • Press to display maximum and minimum power.
  • Press and hold OK for 3 seconds to display the total accumulated time.

4. Alarm and Protection Functions

The KETOTEK energy meter provides multiple alarm functions to protect your appliances and manage consumption:

  • Overload Protection: If the load power exceeds the set overload value (maximum 3680W), the LCD will display "Overload" and the LED indicator will flash continuously.
  • KWH Alarm: If the accumulated energy consumption exceeds the set KWH alarm value, the LCD will display "KWh ALARM" and the LED indicator will flash.
  • Cost Alarm: If the electricity cost exceeds the set cost alarm value, the LCD will display "COST ALARM" and the LED indicator will flash.

These alarms provide continuous warnings to the user, making it ideal for monitoring household appliance energy consumption.

5.1 Data Storage

The wattmeter includes an integrated high-precision chip that ensures data is stored even in the event of a power failure. This means your accumulated measurements are retained.

5.2 Data Clearing and Reset

The device offers two options for managing data:

  • Clear Accumulated Data: You can clear the accumulated measurement data (like KWH and cost) while keeping your alarm and cost settings. This is useful when switching the meter to a different appliance.
  • Factory Reset: A full reset function is available to restore all parameters to their factory default settings.

6. Display and Readability

The KETOTEK energy meter features an enhanced LCD display designed for optimal readability. Its wide viewing angles allow you to read and record data clearly from various positions, eliminating the need to bend down or stand directly in front of the screen.
