4.2 Connecting the System
- The solar heater must be connected behind your pool's filtration system. Water flows from the pump, through the filter, then through the solar heater, and finally back to the pool.
- Use the provided 2-in-1 adapters (Ø32/38mm) and hoses to connect the solar panel(s) to your existing pool plumbing. Secure all connections with the stainless steel clamps to prevent leaks.
- For larger pools or increased heating, multiple solar panels can be connected in series. Connect the 'OUT' port of the first panel to the 'IN' port of the next panel.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Initial Operation
- After installation, ensure all connections are secure and leak-free.
- Turn on your pool pump. Water will begin to flow through the solar collectors.
- Allow the system to run during sunny periods. The water will be heated as it passes through the solar panels and returns to your pool.
5.2 Heating Performance
Under optimal sunny conditions, each Monzana solar pool heater panel can raise the temperature of 10,000 liters of water by approximately 3°C per day. Connecting multiple panels in series will increase the overall heating capacity and efficiency for larger pools or faster heating.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
Regularly clean the surface of the solar collectors to ensure maximum sun exposure and heating efficiency. Use a soft cloth and mild detergent with water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or brushes that could scratch the surface.
6.2 Winter Storage
Before the onset of freezing temperatures, it is crucial to completely drain all water from the solar heating system. Disconnect the panels and store them in a dry, frost-free location. The aluminum legs can be detached for more convenient storage.
6.3 Saltwater Compatibility
The Monzana solar pool heater is constructed from durable HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) material, which is resistant to saltwater, making it suitable for use with saltwater pools.

7. Troubleshooting
Refer to the table below for common issues and their solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No or insufficient heating | Insufficient sunlight, low water flow rate, air trapped in system, too few panels for pool size | Reposition panels for maximum sun exposure, check pool pump and filter, bleed air from the system, consider adding more panels |
| Water leaks at connections | Loose clamps, worn seals, incorrect adapter size | Tighten all stainless steel clamps, inspect and replace any worn seals, ensure correct 32/38mm adapter is used |
| Reduced water flow through panels | Clogged pool filter, air trapped in system, pool pump malfunction | Clean or backwash the pool filter, bleed air from the solar system, check pool pump for proper operation |
