5.4 Pressure and Temperature Testing

5.4.1 Condensing Pressure & Temperature Test

This test measures the minimum pressure and maximum temperature when the refrigerant changes from gas to liquid. Lower values indicate higher efficiency of the refrigeration cycle.

5.4.2 Evaporation Pressure & Temperature Test

This test measures the maximum pressure and lowest temperature when the refrigerant changes from liquid to gas. Lower values indicate higher efficiency of the refrigeration cycle.

5.4.3 High/Low-Pressure Temperature Test

The gauge can test the temperature within the high-pressure and low-pressure pipelines of the air conditioning system using the connected temperature clamps.

5.5 Pressure Leakage Test

To determine if there is a refrigerant leak, the gauge calculates the pressure difference between an initial test pressure and a second test pressure over a period of time.

5.6 Refrigerant Filling with Visual Window

The integrated visual window allows you to observe the refrigerant filling status, ensuring proper charge levels.

  • Connect the yellow hose to the refrigerant source.
  • Open the necessary valves to begin filling.
  • Monitor the refrigerant flow and state through the observation window.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

  • Wipe the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ensure all ports and connections are free from debris before and after use.

6.2 Storage

  • Store the digital manifold gauge set in its provided carrying toolbox to protect it from dust, moisture, and physical damage.
  • Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your DUOYI Digital Manifold Gauge Set, refer to the table below for common problems and their solutions.

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Unit does not power on.Low or dead batteries; incorrect battery installation.Replace batteries with new ones; ensure correct polarity.
Inaccurate readings.Incorrect refrigerant type selected; loose connections; environmental factors.Verify selected refrigerant type; check all hose and clamp connections; consider environmental conditions. Note: A 3% error margin is normal.
Display is dim or unreadable.Backlight off; low batteries.Activate backlight; replace batteries.
Pressure leakage test fails.Actual system leak; improper connection.Inspect the refrigeration system for leaks; ensure all connections to the gauge are tight.

Note: It is normal for test data to have an error within 3% compared to actual data. This can be influenced by various factors such as the test environment and the integrity of the test line connections.
