1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the EVANS Electric Pressure Washer. This manual provides essential information for the safe operation, assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new pressure washer. The KB series is designed for heavy-duty cleaning tasks in large areas, including floors, buildings, terraces, refrigeration equipment, and vehicle washing. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the unit.

2. Important Safety Instructions

When using this product, basic precautions should always be followed, including:

  • Read all instructions before using the appliance.
  • To reduce the risk of injury, close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used near children.
  • Know how to stop the appliance and bleed pressures quickly. Be thoroughly familiar with the controls.
  • Stay alert and watch what you are doing. Do not operate the appliance when you are tired or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Do not overreach or stand on unstable support. Keep good footing and balance at all times.

4. Assembly and Setup

Before first use, some assembly is required. Ensure the unit is unplugged from the power source before beginning.

4.1 Identify Components

4.2 Connecting Water Supply

  1. Connect a garden hose (not included) to the water inlet connector on the pressure washer. Ensure the connection is tight to prevent leaks.
  2. Connect the other end of the garden hose to a water faucet.
  3. Turn on the water faucet completely to ensure a steady supply of water to the pressure washer.

4.3 Connecting High-Pressure Hose and Spray Gun

  1. Connect one end of the high-pressure hose to the high-pressure outlet on the pressure washer unit. Tighten securely.
  2. Connect the other end of the high-pressure hose to the spray gun. Ensure a firm connection.
  3. Attach the desired nozzle to the spray lance.

4.4 Electrical Connection

  • Ensure the power switch on the pressure washer is in the "OFF" position.
  • Plug the power cord into a grounded 120V AC outlet. The unit is equipped with a GFCI for safety.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Starting the Pressure Washer

  1. Ensure all connections (water, high-pressure hose, power) are secure.
  2. Turn on the water supply completely.
  3. Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to purge air from the pump and hose. Hold until a steady stream of water emerges.
  4. Turn the power switch on the pressure washer to the "ON" position. The motor will start.

5.2 Using the Pressure Washer

  • Always hold the spray gun firmly with both hands when operating.
  • Start spraying from a distance of 2-3 feet from the surface and gradually move closer to achieve the desired cleaning effect.
  • Avoid directing the spray at windows, electrical fixtures, or other delicate items.
  • The pressure washer is suitable for heavy cleaning tasks on various surfaces.

5.3 Shutting Down

  1. Turn the power switch to the "OFF" position.
  2. Turn off the water supply.
  3. Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to release any remaining pressure in the system.
  4. Disconnect the garden hose and high-pressure hose.
  5. Unplug the power cord from the outlet.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your pressure washer.

6.1 Cleaning

  • After each use, wipe down the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth.
  • Clean the nozzles regularly to prevent blockages. Use the included nozzle cleaning tool if available.

6.2 Storage

  • Drain all water from the pump, hoses, and spray gun before storing, especially in freezing temperatures.
  • Store the pressure washer in a dry, frost-free area.
  • Coil the high-pressure hose and power cord neatly.
