1. Introduction

The SENCKIT WiFi Temperature and Humidity Sensor is an intelligent device designed to monitor environmental conditions in your home. Featuring an LCD screen with backlight and PIR induction light, it provides real-time temperature and humidity readings, along with time and date. This smart hygrometer helps you maintain optimal conditions in various indoor spaces such as wine cellars, greenhouses, basements, and living areas. It can be placed on any flat surface or wall-mounted.

4. Product Overview

5. Setup

5.1 Powering the Device

Connect the provided USB cable to the sensor's Micro USB input port and plug the other end into a DC 5V/1A power adapter (not included) or a USB port.

5.2 App Installation

The SENCKIT sensor works with the Tuya Smart or Smart Life App. Download the app from your mobile device's app store or scan the QR code on the product packaging.

  1. Search for "Tuya Smart" or "Smart Life" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Download and install the app.
  3. Register a new account or log in with an existing one.

5.3 Connecting to Wi-Fi and Pairing

Ensure your mobile device is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The sensor only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n).

  1. Open the Tuya Smart/Smart Life App.
  2. Tap "+" in the top right corner to add a device.
  3. Select "Sensor" or "Temperature and Humidity Sensor" from the device list.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions in the app to put the device into pairing mode (usually involves pressing and holding a button on the device until an indicator light flashes).
  5. Enter your Wi-Fi network password when prompted.
  6. Wait for the device to connect. Once connected, the LED indicator will turn blue, and the device will appear in your app.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Reading Temperature and Humidity

The current temperature and humidity are displayed on the LCD screen. The device provides real-time updates without delay.

6.2 Switching Temperature Units

  • On the Device: Press the reset button once to switch the temperature unit between Celsius (℃) and Fahrenheit (℉) on the device's LCD screen.
  • In the App: To change the temperature unit displayed in the mobile app, adjust the setting within the Tuya Smart/Smart Life App.

6.3 Smart Scene Linkage

Utilize the app's smart scene feature to automate actions based on temperature and humidity conditions. This allows the sensor to trigger other smart devices.

Examples:

  • Set a condition: "If temperature reaches 26.2℃, turn on the air conditioner."
  • Set a condition: "If humidity drops below 67.0%, turn on the humidifier."
  • Receive alerts for high/low temperature or humidity conditions.

6.4 Voice Control

The sensor is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing you to query temperature and humidity using voice commands.

6.5 Remote Monitoring

Monitor temperature and humidity from anywhere using the Tuya Smart/Smart Life App on your smartphone.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Placement: Ensure the sensor is placed in an area with good Wi-Fi signal and away from direct heat sources or drafts that could affect readings.
  • Software Updates: Keep the Tuya Smart/Smart Life App updated to the latest version for optimal performance and new features.

8. Troubleshooting
