1. Safety Information

Read all instructions carefully before assembly and use. Keep this manual for future reference.

• Weight Capacity: The maximum recommended weight for the bed is 250 pounds (113 kg). Do not exceed this limit.
• Age Recommendation: Loft beds are not recommended for children under 6 years of age.
• Guardrails: Ensure all guardrails are securely installed and remain in place during use. Guardrails are essential for preventing falls.
• Mattress: Use only a twin-size mattress that meets the recommended thickness to ensure the guardrails are effective. The top surface of the mattress must be at least 5 inches (12.7 cm) below the upper edge of the guardrails.
• No Jumping: Do not allow jumping on the bed.
• Assembly: Assembly should be performed by at least two adults. Ensure all bolts and fasteners are tightened securely before use and checked periodically.
• Ventilation: Do not attach or hang items to any part of the loft bed that are not designed for use with the bed, for example, but not limited to, hooks, belts, and jump ropes.

3. Setup and Assembly Instructions

Assembly typically takes less than an hour with the help of a second person. Follow these steps carefully:

1. Unpack and Identify Parts: Lay out all components on a clean, soft surface (e.g., a rug or blanket) to prevent scratches. Refer to the parts list (if provided separately) to identify each piece.
2. Assemble Main Frame: Begin by connecting the main vertical and horizontal support beams of the bed frame using the provided bolts and the Allen wrench. Do not fully tighten bolts until the entire frame is assembled.
3. Attach Guardrails: Secure the full-length guardrails to the upper bed frame. Ensure they are firmly attached to prevent movement.
4. Install Desk: Position and secure the integrated desk panel to the designated frame supports beneath the bed.
5. Assemble Stairs: Attach the four-step stairway unit to the side of the bed frame. Ensure each step is level and securely fastened.
6. Install Slats: Place the metal slats across the bed frame to create the mattress support. Secure them according to the instructions to ensure stability and prevent shifting.
7. Final Tightening: Once all components are in place and aligned, systematically tighten all bolts and fasteners using the Allen wrench. Do not overtighten.
8. Final Check: Gently shake the assembled bed to ensure it is stable and all connections are secure.

4. Operating Instructions

This loft bed is designed for efficient use of space, combining sleeping, studying, and storage functions.

• Using the Bed: Place a standard twin-size mattress on the metal slats. Ensure the mattress fits snugly within the frame and that the top surface of the mattress is well below the top edge of the guardrails.
• Using the Desk: The integrated desk provides a stable surface for studying, working, or other activities. Avoid placing excessively heavy items on the desk.
• Using the Stairs: Use the four-step stairway for safe and easy access to and from the loft bed. The steps also function as shelves for books or small items. Always face the stairs when ascending or descending.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safety of your loft bed.

• Cleaning: Wipe down the metal surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn marks, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by drying with a clean cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
• Hardware Check: Periodically (e.g., every 3-6 months), inspect all bolts, screws, and connections. Tighten any that have become loose to maintain stability and prevent noise.
• Structural Integrity: Check the bed frame, guardrails, and stairs for any signs of damage, bending, or wear. If any damage is found, discontinue use and contact customer service.

If you encounter any issues with your loft bed, refer to the following common solutions:

• Bed is Noisy or Wobbly:
  • Ensure all bolts and fasteners are fully tightened. Loose connections are the most common cause of noise and instability.
  • Verify that all components are correctly assembled according to the instructions.
• Parts Do Not Align During Assembly:
  • Do not fully tighten any bolts until all parts are loosely assembled. This allows for minor adjustments.
  • Double-check that you are using the correct parts for each step and that they are oriented correctly.
