Setup

1. Power Connection

Connect the power adapter to the machine and then to a suitable electrical outlet. Plug the foot pedal into its designated port on the machine.

2. Bobbin Winding

Before you begin sewing, you will need to wind thread onto a bobbin.

1. Place a spool of thread on the spool pin.
2. Guide the thread through the upper thread guide.
3. Wrap the thread around the bobbin winding tension disc.
4. Place an empty bobbin onto the bobbin winder spindle.
5. Wind the thread a few times manually around the bobbin.
6. Push the bobbin winder spindle to the right.
7. Press the foot pedal to start winding. The machine will stop automatically when the bobbin is full.
8. Cut the thread and remove the bobbin.

3. Threading the Machine

Correct threading is crucial for proper stitch formation.

1. Raise the needle to its highest position using the handwheel.
2. Place the wound bobbin into the bobbin case under the needle plate.
3. Follow the numbered threading path for the upper thread, ensuring it passes through all guides and the tension discs.
4. Thread the needle from front to back.
5. Pull the bobbin thread up through the needle plate opening.

4. Needle Replacement

Replace the needle if it is bent, dull, or broken. Always use the correct type and size of needle for your fabric.

1. Turn off the machine and unplug it.
2. Loosen the needle clamp screw.
3. Remove the old needle.
4. Insert the new needle with the flat side facing the back of the machine.
5. Push the needle up as far as it will go.
6. Tighten the needle clamp screw securely.

5. Presser Foot Replacement

Different sewing tasks require different presser feet.

1. Raise the needle and presser foot lifter.
2. Press the black button on the back of the presser foot holder to release the current foot.
3. Align the new presser foot with the holder and lower the presser foot lifter until it snaps into place.

Operating Instructions

1. Basic Sewing

With the machine threaded and bobbin in place, you are ready to sew.

1. Place your fabric under the presser foot.
2. Lower the presser foot.
3. Select your desired stitch pattern using the stitch selector dial.
4. Gently press the foot pedal to start sewing. Control your speed by varying pressure on the pedal.
5. To secure the beginning and end of a seam, use the reverse stitch lever for a few stitches.
6. When finished, raise the needle to its highest position, lift the presser foot, and pull the fabric away. Cut the threads.

The EOC565 offers 27 stitch applications for various sewing needs. Rotate the stitch selector dial to choose your desired stitch.
