5.2. Installation Steps

Figure 5.1: Visual guide for tail light installation.
- Remove Soundproofing Cotton: Carefully remove the side soundproofing cotton of the trunk using a crow plate or trim removal tool.
- Locate and Unplug Wiring: Find and unplug the master plug of the outside tail lamp.
- Unscrew Fixing Screws: Unscrew the fixing screws holding the outside tail lamp. The outside tail lamp can now be removed.

- Repeat for Other Side: The left and right inner taillights are disassembled in the same way.
- Connect New Tail Lights:
- Connect the provided wiring harnesses to the new outer and inner tail lights.
- Connect the new tail lights to the vehicle's wiring using the OE compatible connectors.
- Ensure all plugs are non-destructively inserted.
- Route the connected wire of the left inner lamp and right inner lamp (approximately 1.2m each) to the appropriate locations.
- Route the connected wire of the outside lamp and inner lamp (approximately 2.4m) to the appropriate locations.
- Connect the switch for the start animation if desired.
- Secure New Tail Lights: Install the new outer and inner tail lights by reversing the removal steps. Secure them with the original screws and nuts.
- Test Functionality: Before reassembling all trim, reconnect the battery and test all light functions: driving light, turn signals (sequential), brake lights, reverse lights, and dynamic start-up animation.
- Reassemble Trim: Once all functions are verified, reattach the soundproofing cotton and any other removed trim pieces.
Note: Some wiring may require routing through the trunk lid or body. Prepare lubricant oil to lubricate the hose in advance if needed.

6. Operation
The VGETTING LED Tail Lights integrate multiple lighting functions for enhanced visibility and style:
- Driving Light: Illuminates when headlights are on, providing continuous rear visibility.
- Sequential Turn Signal: Amber LEDs illuminate in a dynamic, sequential pattern to clearly indicate turns.
- Brake Light: Bright red LEDs activate when the brake pedal is pressed, signaling deceleration.
- Reverse Light: Bright white LEDs activate when the vehicle is in reverse gear, illuminating the area behind the vehicle.
- Dynamic Start-Up Animation: A unique light sequence that plays when the vehicle is started, adding a distinctive visual effect. This feature can be controlled via the dedicated switch if installed.

7. Maintenance
These LED tail lights are designed for long-term durability and minimal maintenance. Follow these guidelines to ensure optimal performance:
- Cleaning: Clean the lens with a soft cloth and mild automotive cleaning solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the lens material.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the lights for any signs of damage, loose connections, or moisture intrusion. Although rated IP67 waterproof, extreme conditions or physical damage can compromise seals.
- Bulb Replacement: As these are full LED units, individual bulb replacement is not typically required. If an LED segment fails, the entire unit may need to be replaced.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your VGETTING LED Tail Lights, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Lights not illuminating | Loose wiring connection, blown fuse, incorrect installation. | Check all wiring connections for secure fitment. Inspect vehicle's fuse box for blown fuses related to tail lights. Review installation steps. |
| One light function not working (e.g., turn signal only) | Specific wiring for that function is loose or incorrectly connected. | Verify the specific wiring for the affected function. Ensure the correct plug is connected to the correct input. |
| Flickering or inconsistent light output | Poor electrical connection, voltage fluctuation, faulty unit. | Ensure all connections are tight and free of corrosion. Check vehicle's electrical system. If problem persists, contact support. |
| Moisture inside the lens | Compromised seal, improper installation. | Ensure the light unit is properly seated and all seals are intact. If moisture persists, contact support. |
