Sensor Installation

The external sensors are designed for easy and quick installation on your tire valves. They are lightweight and durable.

  1. Ensure tires are at recommended pressure before installation.
  2. Unscrew the original valve cap.
  3. Screw on the anti-theft nut.
  4. Screw the sensor onto the valve stem. Ensure the sensor is tightened securely to prevent air leakage.
  5. Tighten the anti-theft nut against the sensor using the provided wrench.
  6. Repeat for all six tires.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and accuracy of your Hieha TPMS, follow these maintenance guidelines:

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your TPMS, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible Cause / Solution
Sensors not reading or displaying data.
  • Ensure sensors are correctly installed and tightened.
  • Check for sensor battery low alarm.
  • Try rebooting the monitor.
  • If replacing a sensor, ensure it is properly paired according to the full user manual.
  • Consider resetting the system to factory defaults and re-pairing sensors if initial setup issues persist.
Inaccurate pressure/temperature readings.
  • Verify tire pressure with a reliable gauge.
  • Ensure sensors are securely attached and not loose.
  • If a sensor displays an unchanging or incorrect reading after a tire event (e.g., blowout), verify sensor placement and consider recalibration or replacement.
  • Avoid changing factory default settings unless instructed. Resetting to factory defaults can often resolve calibration issues.
Monitor not turning on or losing power.
  • Ensure the monitor is fully charged via USB or sufficient solar exposure.
  • Check the power button.
Weak signal or intermittent connection.
  • Ensure the monitor's antenna is properly extended.
  • Minimize obstructions between sensors and monitor.
  • The system is designed for 130FT range, but extreme distances or interference can affect performance.
