3. Product Overview
The TOAUTO DRO 2 Axis Digital Readout Display system includes the main display unit, two glass linear scales, and all necessary mounting hardware and cables. The display provides real-time position feedback for two axes (X and Y).

4. Setup and Installation
Proper installation of the DRO display and linear scales is crucial for accurate measurements. Follow these steps carefully.
4.1 Measuring Travel Length
Before ordering or installing, accurately measure the required travel length for your machine's axes. The linear scales are specified by their travel length, not overall length.

4.2 Mounting the Linear Scales
Mount the linear scales securely to the machine's moving axes (X and Y). Ensure the scale body is parallel to the axis of motion and the read head moves smoothly along the scale without binding. Use the provided mounting brackets and hardware.

4.3 Mounting the DRO Display

4.4 Electrical Connections
Connect the linear scales to the corresponding ports on the back of the DRO display. Ensure the 9-pin connectors are fully seated and secured. Plug the power cord into the DRO display and then into a suitable power outlet.
5. Operating Instructions
Once installed and powered on, the DRO display is ready for operation. Familiarize yourself with the keypad and display functions.
5.1 Basic Functions
- Power On/Off: Use the main power switch on the back of the unit.
- Zero Set: Press the 'ZERO' button for the desired axis (X or Y) to set the current position to zero.
- ABS/INC Mode: Toggle between Absolute (ABS) and Incremental (INC) measurement modes. ABS measures from a fixed datum, while INC measures from the last zeroed point.
- Unit Conversion: Switch between metric (mm) and imperial (inch) units.
