Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Micca G3, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Power: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to the player and a working wall outlet.
  • No Picture/Sound:
    • Check HDMI or AV cable connections to both the player and the TV.
    • Verify the correct input source is selected on your TV.
    • Ensure the display resolution setting on the player matches your TV's capabilities.
  • Cannot Play File:
    • Confirm the file format is supported by the Micca G3 (refer to 'Robust Media Format Support' in Product Features).
    • Ensure the media file is not corrupted. Try playing another file.
    • For MP4 files, if issues persist, consider converting them to a more standard MP4 profile using software like VLC Media Player.
  • External Hard Drive Not Recognized: Ensure the hard drive is formatted with a Master Boot Record (MBR) partition style. Drives formatted with GPT (GUID Partition Table) may not be fully supported, especially for capacities over 2TB. Supported file systems include FAT/FAT32, exFAT, and NTFS.
  • Remote Control Not Responding:
    • Check and replace the AAA batteries.
    • Ensure you are pointing the remote directly at the player's remote sensor (2) on the front. The remote is highly directional.
