3. Setup and Preparation
3.1 Installing Batteries
Insert the 2 AAA batteries into the battery compartment on the back of the meter, ensuring correct polarity.
3.2 Preparing the Lancing Device
- Unscrew the lancing device cap.
- Insert a new sterile lancet firmly into the lancet holder.
- Twist off the protective cap from the lancet and save it for safe disposal.
- Replace the lancing device cap.
- Adjust the penetration depth by rotating the cap. Start with a shallower setting (e.g., 1 or 2) for softer skin and increase if needed.
- Pull back the cocking barrel until it clicks, indicating it is ready to use.
3.3 Preparing the Test Strip
Remove a test strip from the vial. Close the vial immediately after removing a strip to protect the remaining strips from moisture. The meter does not require coding.

4. Operating Instructions (Blood Glucose Test)
- Wash and Dry Hands: Always wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water, then dry them completely before testing.
- Insert Test Strip: Insert the test strip into the meter. The meter will automatically turn on and display a blood drop symbol.
- Obtain Blood Sample: Press the lancing device firmly against the side of your fingertip and press the release button. A small drop of blood will form.
- Apply Blood Sample: Gently touch the tip of the test strip to the blood drop. The blood will be automatically drawn into the strip. The meter requires only 0.6 µL of blood. If the first sample is insufficient, you have 5 seconds to apply a second drop to the same strip.
- Read Results: The meter will count down from 5 seconds and then display your blood glucose result in mg/dL.
- Record Results: The meter automatically stores up to 99 test results with date and time.
- Dispose of Used Materials: Eject the used lancet and test strip into a suitable sharps container.
