Operating the Controller with NZXT CAM
The NZXT CAM software provides an intuitive interface for managing your controller's functions.
Fan Control
- Fan Profiles: Select from preset fan profiles (e.g., Silent, Performance, Fixed) or create custom fan curves based on CPU or GPU temperatures.
- Monitoring: Monitor individual fan speeds and temperatures in real-time.
- Group Control: Group multiple fans to apply the same fan curve settings simultaneously.
RGB Lighting Customization
- Lighting Modes: Choose from a variety of static, dynamic, and reactive lighting effects.
- Color Selection: Customize colors using a color picker, RGB values, or hexadecimal codes.
- Synchronization: Synchronize lighting effects across all connected NZXT RGB devices.
- Advanced Effects: Create complex lighting patterns and animations for a personalized aesthetic.
Maintenance
- Software Updates: Regularly check for and install updates for NZXT CAM software to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
- Physical Cleaning: Keep the controller free from dust accumulation. Use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe the surface. Ensure the PC is powered off before cleaning.
- Cable Management: Periodically inspect cable connections to ensure they are secure and not obstructing airflow within the PC case.
Troubleshooting
- Controller Not Detected by NZXT CAM:
- Ensure the USB 2.0 internal cable is securely connected to both the controller and the motherboard header.
- Verify that the SATA power cable is properly connected to the controller and the PSU.
- Try restarting your computer.
- Reinstall NZXT CAM software.
- Fans Not Spinning or RGB Not Lighting Up:
- Check all fan and RGB cable connections to the controller.
- Ensure the controller is receiving power via the SATA connection.
- Confirm that the fan and RGB settings in NZXT CAM are correctly configured and not set to 'off' or 'zero RPM'.
- Test individual fans/RGB devices by connecting them directly to the motherboard (if possible) to rule out device failure.
- Inconsistent RGB Lighting:
- Ensure all RGB devices are compatible with the NZXT ecosystem.
- Verify that the correct device types are selected in NZXT CAM for each RGB channel.
- Check for loose connections.
