1. Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your Tamagotchi Nano x Jujutsu Kaisen - Gojo electronic pet. Please read through all sections carefully to ensure proper use and to maximize your experience with the device.

2. Safety Information

WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD - Small parts. Not for children under 3 years.

  • The product is intended for ages 8 and older. Do not give the product to anyone below the specified age.
  • Do not use the product in water or wet conditions.
  • Do not place the product in humid or high-temperature conditions.
  • Please be careful not to place the Tamagotchi Nano in your mouth.
  • Do not drop, wet, or disassemble the device.
  • Do not place the product on resin-treated products such as sofas, seats, and tiles.
  • Do not pull or bend movable parts or attachments.
  • Please replace the battery if the screen does not show properly.
  • Please press the reset switch if the product demonstrates an error.

3. Setup and Initial Use

3.1 Product Details

The device features an LCD screen, three control buttons (A, B, C), and a reset switch. A ball chain is included for portability.

  • A Button: Select / Scroll
  • B Button: Confirm / Cancel
  • C Button: Interact with character / Call
  • Reset Switch: Located on the back, use a pointed object to press.

3.2 Enrollment to Jujutsu High (Initial Setup)

  1. Pull out the tab from the casing. A sound will ring, and the time setting screen will appear.
  2. Setting the Timer: Use the A button to set the time in order of hours → minutes. Use the B button to confirm changes. Press the C button to return a step back. Be sure to set the time properly to "AM" or "PM".
  3. Enter Jujutsu High: Once the timer is set, the principals from Tokyo Jujutsu High and Kyoto Jujutsu High appear. The game begins with a newcomer entering Jujutsu High to become a Jujutsu sorcerer.

3.3 Timer Controls

  • To view the time: Press the B button during the character display screen to transition to the timer screen. Press the B button again to return to the character display screen.
  • To adjust the time: Press the B button to transition to the timer screen, then press the A button while the B button is pressed to transition to the timer setting screen. Set the time as described in "3.2 Enrollment to Jujutsu High".

3.4 Turning the Sound On and Off

Press the A button while the C button is pressed during the character display screen to transition to the sound select screen. Use the A button to select between "ON" or "OFF", then press the B button to confirm the change.

Please be warned that turning the sound "OFF" will prevent the character call from ringing.

4. Operating Your Character

4.1 Basic Care

Instructions for feeding, playing, and managing your character's status.

  • Call: You will need to take the proper action depending on the state of your character when your character calls for you. If you miss a call from your character, press the C button to confirm your character's state.
  • Rice Ball (Hunger): If your character is hungry, press the A button to select the rice ball icon, and then press the B button to give the rice ball to your character. You cannot give a rice ball to your character when a cursed spirit is full, or when your character is sleeping, injured, or is about to die.
  • Kikufuku (Grumpy): If your character is unhappy, press the A button to open the select screen, then use the A button to select the Kikufuku rice cake icon, and then press the B button to give your character a Kikufuku rice cake.
  • Lights (Sleep): When your character goes to sleep, press the A button to open the select screen, then use the A button to select the lights icon, and then press the B button to turn the lights off. You cannot control anything other than turning the lights on or off, displaying and fixing the time, or turning the sound on or off while your character is asleep. You cannot turn the lights on or off while your character is awake.

4.2 Cursed Spirits

After a certain amount of time passes, a cursed spirit will appear. The cursed spirit will slowly take over the screen. Press the A button to exorcise the cursed spirit before it takes over the screen completely.

You cannot exorcise the cursed spirit if your character is asleep, injured, or is about to die.

There are four different cursed spirits. One of them will randomly appear to attack your character.

4.3 Training Your Character

Training is needed to make your character strong. From the select screen, use the A button to choose "TRAIN", then use the A button to select one of the three training methods and the B button to confirm the selection.

You cannot train when a cursed spirit has appeared, or when your character is asleep, injured, or is about to die.

  1. Put the Cursed Corpse to Sleep: Quickly press the buttons as displayed on the screen. If there are two A buttons or B buttons displayed, press the displayed button twice. The training is a success if you followed the orders on screen correctly. Follow the orders 5 times right to get a perfect result. You will be punched by the Cursed Corpse and fail if you don't follow the orders on the screen, or if you don't press any of the buttons as instructed.
  2. Catch Sukuna's Fingers: Move the cursor left using the A button and right using the B button to catch Sukuna's fingers, while avoiding the falling nails. The training is a success if you catch 20 of Sukuna's fingers. You will fail if you catch a nail, or if you miss any of Sukuna's fingers.
  3. Use Your Cursed Tool: Repeatedly press the A button for 15 seconds. You will defeat the cursed spirit if you pressed a sufficient number of times. The cursed spirit will rejoice if the button is not pressed enough times. Press the button as many times as possible to achieve a perfect result.

4.4 Character Evolution and Events

Your character can turn into a variety of Jujutsu sorcerers depending on the training!

  • Surprise Characters Appear: You can verify the status of different guest characters offering you support. Once done, press the A button, B button, or the C button to continue.
  • Injury: Your character will be injured if the cursed spirit is left alone or if you do not train your character. If injured, press the A button until the character fully recovers. If left injured, your character may die, so please be careful. All controls are inaccessible if your character is about to die.
  • Death: Your character will die if left injured or is injured a number of times. (The cursed spirits will take over the screen after your character dies.)
  • How to train a new character: Press the A button while the C button is pressed to restart from "Enter Jujutsu High". Please do your best to lead and train your new Jujutsu sorcerer.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Changing Batteries

Low batteries may cause the screen to go blank and may lead to loss of controls. Please replace the batteries when the battery exchange icon is displayed.

  1. Slide the battery cover downward while pressing down on the push lock on the back using a pointed object.
  2. Remove the batteries and replace them with new batteries (2 x LR44 batteries, sold separately) making sure that the (+) and (-) of the batteries are properly set. Always replace both batteries at the same time.
  3. Always go through the "Reset instructions" (see "3.2 Enrollment to Jujutsu High") after the battery cover is placed back into its closed position.

5.2 Cleaning

To clean the device, wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the device's surface or internal components.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Device or screen not functioning properly: Please refer to "Reset instructions" (see "3.2 Enrollment to Jujutsu High"). Do not press hard on the reset switch using pointed objects, such as mechanical pencils, to prevent damage to the device.
  • Character dies: If you neglect to train your characters, the spirits will start to rejoice! Your character will die if left injured or is injured a number of times.
  • Sound issues: If the character call is not ringing, ensure the sound is turned "ON" as described in "3.4 Turning the Sound On and Off".
