Safety Information

Setup
1. Installing Batteries
- Locate the battery compartment on the inside of the safe door.
- Insert 4 x AA batteries (not included) according to the polarity indicators (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover.
2. Initial Code Setup
The safe comes with a factory default code. It is highly recommended to change this immediately.
- Open the safe door using the emergency key (if it's locked) or the default code.
- Locate the red reset button on the inside of the safe door, near the hinge.
- Press the reset button. The yellow indicator light on the keypad will illuminate.
- Within 5 seconds, enter your new 3-8 digit code on the keypad.
- Press the '#' button to confirm. The yellow light will flash, and a beep will confirm the new code is set.
- Test the new code with the door open to ensure it works correctly before closing the safe.
3. Mounting the Safe
The safe can be fixed to a wall or floor for added security.
- Choose a suitable location for mounting.
- Mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes on the back or bottom of the safe.
- Drill holes in the wall or floor using an appropriate drill bit.
- Align the safe with the drilled holes and insert the provided mounting bolts.
- Tighten the bolts securely to fix the safe in place.

Operating the Safe
1. Opening the Safe with Digital Code
- Enter your 3-8 digit personal code on the keypad.
- Press the '#' button. The green indicator light will illuminate.
- Within 5 seconds, turn the knob clockwise to open the safe door.
2. Opening the Safe with Emergency Key
The emergency key can be used if you forget your code, the batteries are dead, or the keypad is locked.
- Remove the cover plate over the emergency keyhole, usually located near the turning knob.
- Insert the emergency key into the keyhole and turn it counter-clockwise.
- While holding the key turned, rotate the turning knob clockwise to open the safe door.
- Once open, remove the key.

3. Changing the Code
You can change your personal code at any time while the door is open.
- With the safe door open, press the red reset button on the inside of the door. The yellow indicator light will illuminate.
- Enter your new 3-8 digit code.
- Press the '#' button to confirm. A beep will sound, and the yellow light will flash, indicating success.
4. LED Indicator Lights
The three indicator lights provide visual feedback on the safe's status:
- Green Light: Illuminates after entering the correct password, indicating the safe is ready to be opened.
- Yellow Light: Illuminates when inputting the password or when the reset button is pressed, indicating readiness for new code input.
- Red Light: Illuminates when an incorrect password is entered or when the batteries are low.

5. Warning Alarm System
The safe is equipped with an alarm system for enhanced security.
- If an incorrect PIN code is entered continuously 3 times, the security safe will activate a loud audio alarm.
- The digital keypad will be automatically locked for a period (typically 20 seconds) after the alarm is triggered.
- To stop the alarm, use the emergency key to open the safe, or remove and reinsert the batteries to power-cycle the system.

6. Mute Mode
The safe can be set to mute mode to disable keypad beeps, useful in quiet environments.
- To activate mute mode: While the safe is unlocked and open, press the '*' button. The keypad will no longer beep when keys are pressed.
- To deactivate mute mode: While the safe is unlocked and open, press the '*' button again. The keypad beeps will be restored.
Maintenance
1. Battery Replacement
When the red indicator light flashes during operation or remains lit, it indicates low battery power. Replace all 4 AA batteries promptly.
- Open the safe door.
- Locate the battery compartment on the inside of the door.
- Remove the old batteries and dispose of them properly.
- Insert new 4 x AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
- Close the battery compartment cover.
2. Cleaning
Clean the exterior of the safe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.

3. Storage
Store the safe in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
