  • Install this range hood in accordance with all specified instructions.
  • Ensure proper ventilation of the room when the range hood is used simultaneously with appliances burning gas or other fuels.
  • Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug. Discard fan or return to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
  • Always disconnect the power supply before servicing or cleaning the unit.
  • Clean grease filters frequently. Grease should not be allowed to accumulate on fan or filter.

Setup and Installation

This range hood can be installed as either a ducted (vented to the outside) or ductless (recirculating) system. Ensure you have the necessary tools and follow local building codes.

1. Choosing Ventilation Mode: Ducted vs. Ductless

Ducted Installation: Air is expelled outside through a duct system. This method offers the most effective removal of smoke and odors.

Ductless (Recirculating) Installation: Air is filtered through charcoal filters and recirculated back into the kitchen. This is suitable when external venting is not possible. Ensure charcoal filters are installed for this mode.

Note: Do not install charcoal filters when using the ducted mode, as this will affect suction and increase noise.

2. Mounting the Range Hood

The range hood is designed for wall mounting. Refer to the detailed installation guide provided with your product for specific measurements and mounting hardware instructions. Ensure the mounting surface is structurally sound to support the weight of the unit.

3. Electrical Connection

Connect the range hood to a grounded 120V AC power supply. All electrical wiring must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with all applicable codes and standards.

Operating Instructions

Your IKTCH range hood features multiple control methods for convenience.

1. Control Panel (Touch Control)

The front panel of the range hood features touch-sensitive controls for power, fan speed adjustment, and lighting. Gently press the icons to activate functions.

2. Gesture Sensing

The gesture sensing feature allows for hands-free operation. Wave your hand across the designated sensing points on the control panel to turn the fan on/off or adjust speed settings. This is particularly useful when your hands are occupied or soiled during cooking.

3. Remote Control

Use the provided remote control to operate the range hood from a distance. Functions include power on/off, fan speed adjustment, and light control.

4. Fan Speed Settings

The range hood offers 4 fan speed settings. Select a lower speed for light cooking and higher speeds for heavy smoke and odors. The maximum airflow is 900 CFM.

5. LED Lighting

The integrated LED lights provide illumination for your cooking area. The brightness can be adjusted to suit your needs.

6. Timer Function

Activate the timer function to allow the range hood to operate for a set period before automatically shutting off.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your range hood.

1. Cleaning Grease Filters

The stainless steel baffle filters are dishwasher safe and designed for easy removal. Clean them regularly (e.g., monthly, depending on cooking frequency) to prevent grease buildup, which can reduce efficiency and pose a fire hazard.

  • To remove: Locate the release latches on each filter, push them inward, and gently pull the filter downwards.
  • To clean: Place filters in a dishwasher or wash by hand with hot, soapy water. Ensure they are completely dry before reinstallation.
  • To reinstall: Align the filter with the slots and push the release latches back into place until secure.

2. Replacing Charcoal Filters (Ductless Mode Only)

If operating in ductless mode, the charcoal filters need to be replaced periodically (typically every 3-6 months, depending on usage). Refer to the product's specific charcoal filter replacement instructions.

3. Cleaning Exterior Surfaces

Wipe the stainless steel exterior with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive pads that can scratch the surface.

4. LED Light Replacement

LED lights are designed for long life. If replacement is necessary, contact customer support for compatible parts and instructions.
