2. System Requirements
The atolla card reader is designed for wide compatibility. Ensure your system meets the following requirements:
- Operating System: Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10/11, macOS, Linux, Chrome OS.
- Available USB Port: USB 3.0 port recommended for SuperSpeed performance, but compatible with USB 2.0 ports (at USB 2.0 speeds).

3. Connecting the Device
- Locate an available USB port on your computer (PC or laptop).
- Plug the USB 3.0 connector of the atolla card reader into the USB port.
- The device is plug-and-play, meaning no additional drivers are required for most operating systems. Your computer should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers.
- A blue LED indicator on the card reader will illuminate, indicating that the device is connected and active. A green LED indicates link status when a card is inserted and being accessed.
Operating Instructions
1. Inserting Memory Cards
The atolla card reader features four distinct card slots:
- SD Slot: For SD, SDHC, SDXC, Extreme I III SD, Ultra II SD, MMC, RS-MMC cards.
- Micro SD Slot: For Micro SD, TF, Micro SDXC, Micro SDHC, UHS-I cards.
- CF Slot: For CF I 3.0/4.0, Extreme I III CF, Ultra II CF, HS CF, XS-XS CF, CF Elite Pro, CF Pro, CF Pro II cards.
- MS Slot: For MS, MS PRO, MS PRO-HG, MS XC DUO cards.
Gently insert your memory card into the corresponding slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is inserted in the correct orientation to avoid damage.

2. Data Transfer
Once a memory card is inserted and recognized by your computer, it will appear as a removable drive. You can then:
- Read Data: Open the drive to access files on the memory card.
- Write Data: Drag and drop files from your computer to the memory card drive.
- Simultaneous Access: The atolla card reader supports reading and writing to all four card slots simultaneously, allowing for efficient multi-card operations without constant plugging and unplugging.
The USB 3.0 interface provides SuperSpeed data transfer rates of up to 5Gbps, which is significantly faster than USB 2.0 (up to 480Mbps).

3. Safely Removing Memory Cards
To prevent data corruption, always safely eject the memory card from your operating system before physically removing it from the card reader. This can typically be done by right-clicking the drive icon in "My Computer" (Windows) or dragging the drive icon to the Trash (macOS) and selecting "Eject".
Maintenance
