4. Product Overview

The Vonnision 4K POE IP Fisheye Camera features an 8-megapixel sensor and a 1.7mm fisheye lens, providing a 180-degree panoramic view. It is designed for both indoor and outdoor use with an IP66 weatherproof rating and a durable metal housing. Key components include infrared LEDs for night vision, a built-in microphone for audio monitoring, and a Power over Ethernet (PoE) port for simplified installation.

5. Setup

5.1 Mounting the Camera

The camera can be mounted on a ceiling or wall. Choose a location that provides the desired panoramic coverage and is within reach of your network cable.

  1. Mark the drilling points using the camera's base as a template.
  2. Drill holes and insert the wall plugs (if mounting on drywall or masonry).
  3. Secure the camera to the mounting surface using the provided screws.

5.2 Power and Network Connection (PoE)

This camera supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), allowing both power and data transmission through a single Ethernet cable. This simplifies installation by eliminating the need for a separate power adapter.

  1. Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the camera's RJ45 (PoE) port. Use the waterproof connector for outdoor installations.
  2. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to a PoE switch, PoE injector, PoE router, or a PoE NVR.
  3. Alternatively, if not using PoE, connect a 12V DC power adapter (not included) to the DC 12V Power Port and connect the Ethernet cable to a standard router or NVR.

6. Operation

6.1 Initial Configuration

After connecting the camera, it will obtain an IP address via DHCP by default. You can access the camera's web interface using a web browser (IE, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari) by entering its IP address. Refer to your NVR or network scanning tools to find the camera's IP address.

6.2 Video Monitoring and Panoramic View

The 1.7mm fisheye lens provides an ultra-wide 180-degree horizontal viewing angle, minimizing blind spots. The camera delivers 4K (3840x2160) resolution for clear images.

6.3 Night Vision

Equipped with 3 Matrix IR LEDs, the camera provides excellent night vision up to 49 feet (15 meters), ensuring clear surveillance even in low-light or complete darkness.

6.4 Audio Functionality

The camera features a built-in microphone for one-way audio monitoring, allowing you to listen to the environment where the camera is installed.

  • WDR (Wide Dynamic Range): 120dB WDR technology helps balance exposure in scenes with both very bright and very dark areas.
  • 3D NR (3D Noise Reduction): Reduces image noise for clearer video, especially in low light.
  • Motion Detection: Configurable motion detection zones and sensitivity to trigger alerts or recordings.
  • Human Body Detection: Advanced detection to differentiate human movement from other motion sources.

7. Compatibility

The Vonnision 4K POE IP Fisheye Camera supports H.265/H.264 dual compression (default H.265) and is compatible with various 4K H.265/H.264 PoE NVRs. It can also integrate with third-party software and platforms such as QNAP, NAS, FTP, Blue Iris, and iSpy. It is designed for plug-and-play functionality with Hikvision, LTS, EZVIZ, Dahua, Lorex, Uniview, TVT, and Raysharp NVRs after DHCP is enabled (default setting).

8. Maintenance

8.1 Cleaning

To maintain optimal image quality, regularly clean the camera lens with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a lens cleaning solution specifically designed for optical surfaces. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

8.2 Firmware Updates

Periodically check the manufacturer's website for available firmware updates. Firmware updates can improve performance, add new features, or address security vulnerabilities. Follow the provided instructions carefully when performing updates.

9. Troubleshooting

  • No Image/Video:
    • Check power connection (PoE or 12V DC adapter).

  • Poor Image Quality:
    • Clean the camera lens.

    • Try a different web browser.
