3. Setup
3.1 Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge your Zippo Heatbank 9s. Connect the included USB charging cable to the micro-USB input port on the device and to a USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter). The blue indicator lights will flash during charging and remain solid when fully charged.
3.2 Attaching the Lanyard
The Heatbank 9s comes with a lanyard for convenient carrying. Thread the loop of the lanyard through the designated hole at the top of the device and secure it as desired.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
To turn on the hand warmer function, press and hold the power button for approximately 3 seconds. The indicator lights will illuminate.
To turn off the hand warmer function, press and hold the power button for approximately 3 seconds until the lights turn off.
4.2 Checking Battery Level
Press the power button quickly (do not hold) to check the current battery level. The blue indicator lights will show the charge status.
4.3 Adjusting Heat Settings
Once the hand warmer is on, short press the power button to cycle through the heat settings:
- Blue Lights: Indicate dual-sided heating. There are three intensity levels within this mode.
- Green Lights: Indicate single-sided heating. There are three intensity levels within this mode.
The device will reach its maximum temperature of 120°F / 50°C on the highest setting.
5. Charging External Devices
The Zippo Heatbank 9s can also charge other USB-compatible devices. Connect your device's charging cable to the USB-A output port on the Heatbank 9s. The blue indicator lights will show the remaining battery capacity. Note that the heating function is disabled when the device is actively charging an external device.
6. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity of your Zippo Heatbank 9s:
- Keep the device clean and dry.
- Avoid extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
- Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the device.
7. Troubleshooting
7.1 Device Not Heating
- Ensure the device is sufficiently charged. Check battery indicator lights.
- Confirm the heating function is activated by pressing and holding the power button until lights illuminate.
- If charging an external device, the heating function is temporarily disabled. Disconnect the external device.
7.2 Device Not Charging
- Verify the charging cable is securely connected to both the Heatbank 9s micro-USB input and the power source.
- Try a different USB charging cable or power source.
- Ensure the power source is active.
