1. Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your ChipPower Performance Tuning Box GS2. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use to ensure proper function and safety. The GS2 module is designed to optimize engine performance for compatible vehicles.
2. Safety Information
- Ensure the vehicle's engine is turned off and cooled down before beginning installation.
- Disconnect the vehicle's battery before installation to prevent electrical damage. Reconnect only after installation is complete.
- If you are unsure about any step of the installation process, consult a qualified automotive technician.
- Keep the tuning box and all components away from excessive heat, moisture, and corrosive substances.
- Do not attempt to open or modify the tuning box, as this will void the warranty and may cause damage.
3. Package Contents
Verify that all items listed below are present in your package:
- ChipPower GS2 Tuning Box Module
- Vehicle-specific Wiring Harness
- Zip Ties for securing cables
- User Manual (this document)

4. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps carefully to install the ChipPower GS2 tuning box in your vehicle. The installation typically involves connecting the module to the vehicle's MAP or MAF sensor.
4.1. Pre-Installation Steps
- Park your vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
- Turn off the engine and remove the key from the ignition.
- Allow the engine to cool down completely.
- Disconnect the negative terminal of the vehicle's battery. Wait at least 15 minutes before proceeding.
4.2. Locating the Sensor
The ChipPower GS2 connects to either the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor or the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor, depending on your vehicle's engine configuration. Refer to your vehicle's service manual or an online resource to identify the correct sensor location.

4.3. Connecting the Wiring Harness
- Disconnect the original connector from the MAP or MAF sensor.
- Connect one end of the ChipPower wiring harness to the vehicle's sensor.
- Connect the other end of the ChipPower wiring harness to the original vehicle connector that was removed from the sensor. Ensure all connections click securely into place.

4.5. Post-Installation Steps
- Reconnect the negative terminal of the vehicle's battery.
- Start the engine and check for any warning lights or unusual behavior. If issues occur, turn off the engine, disconnect the battery, and re-check all connections.
4.6. Adjusting the Module (Optional)
The GS2 module may have an adjustment screw for fine-tuning performance. This is typically a small screw located on the side of the module. Adjustments should be made incrementally and tested carefully.

5. Operating Instructions
Once correctly installed, the ChipPower GS2 module operates automatically. No further user interaction is required during normal driving. The module modifies signals to the engine's ECU to optimize fuel delivery and ignition timing, resulting in enhanced engine characteristics.
For optimal performance, ensure your vehicle is properly maintained according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
6. Maintenance
- Periodically check all connections to ensure they remain secure.
- Keep the module clean and free from dirt, dust, and moisture. Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners on the module.
7. Troubleshooting
7.1. Engine Warning Light Appears
- Action: Turn off the engine, disconnect the battery for 15 minutes, then reconnect and restart.
- Action: Check all connections of the tuning box and wiring harness to ensure they are fully seated and secure.
- Action: If the light persists, remove the tuning box and reconnect the original sensor wiring. If the light disappears, contact ChipPower support. If it remains, the issue may be unrelated to the tuning box.
7.2. No Perceptible Performance Change
- Action: Verify that the module is correctly installed and all connections are secure.
- Action: Ensure the module's adjustment screw (if present) is not set to its minimum setting. Make small adjustments and test.
- Action: Confirm that your vehicle model and engine type are compatible with the specific GS2 module.
