5. Operation
5.1 Double Doors
The crate features two doors for convenience:
- Large Door: Provides easy entry and exit for your dog. Secure with the three L-shaped locks.
- Small Door: Located within the large door, this allows for easy feeding or interaction without fully opening the main door. It has a low threshold, suitable for short-legged dogs.

5.2 Removable Top Lid and Door
For increased versatility, the top lid and the large door can be removed.
- Removing the Large Door: This can make your dog feel less confined.
- Removing the Top Lid: Transforms the crate into an open playpen, providing a safe and cozy area for your dog with more freedom.

5.3 Tray Stoppers
The crate includes stoppers on the front and back to secure the pull-out tray.
- To Secure the Tray: Keep the stoppers in an upright position. This prevents the tray from moving during use.
- To Remove the Tray: Turn the stoppers to a horizontal position, allowing the tray to slide out for cleaning.

- Ensure all parts are dry before allowing your pet back into the crate.

7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Crate feels unstable after assembly. | Connections not fully secured. | Review assembly steps. Ensure all bolts, clips, or interlocking mechanisms are fully engaged and tightened. |
| Tray does not slide out easily. | Tray stoppers are in the upright position. | Turn the tray stoppers to the horizontal position to release the tray. Check for debris obstructing the tray's path. |
| Door locks are difficult to operate. | Misalignment or minor obstruction. | Ensure the door is properly aligned with the frame. Check for any debris or bent wires obstructing the lock mechanism. Apply a small amount of pet-safe lubricant if necessary. |
| Dog is able to escape or damage the crate. | Crate size is incorrect for the dog, or dog exhibits extreme destructive behavior. | Verify the crate size is appropriate for your dog's weight and breed (71-93 lb for this XL model). For dogs with extreme destructive tendencies, this type of crate may not be suitable, and professional training or alternative containment solutions might be required. |
