Compatibility

This TAFFIO head unit is specifically designed for compatibility with the following Mercedes-Benz models:

• Mercedes-Benz SL R230 (SL350, SL500, SL55, SL600, SL65)

Important: This unit is compatible with vehicles equipped with the NTG 1 Sound System / AGW System. It is not compatible with NTG 2.5 systems. Please verify your vehicle's system type before installation.

Setup and Installation

The TAFFIO head unit is designed for easy plug-and-play installation, directly exchanging with your factory car radio. No modification to the original frame or power cable is typically required.

Installation Steps (General Overview):

1. Preparation: Ensure the vehicle's ignition is off and the battery is disconnected before beginning installation.
2. Remove Original Unit: Carefully remove the existing factory car radio from the dashboard.
3. Connect Wiring: Connect the provided power cable with Canbus decoder, audio/video cables, GPS antenna, radio antenna adaptor, and external microphone to the corresponding ports on the new head unit and the vehicle's wiring harness. Refer to the wiring diagram for detailed connections.
4. AGW System Connection: For vehicles with an AGW (Audio Gateway) system, utilize the provided AGW EXT bypass cable. This cable connects to the AGW plugs located behind the driver's seat.
5. Secure Unit: Carefully slide the new TAFFIO head unit into the dashboard opening, ensuring all cables are properly routed and not pinched. Secure the unit in place.
6. Reconnect Battery: Reconnect the vehicle's battery.
7. Test Functionality: Turn on the ignition and test all functions of the new head unit, including power, audio, navigation, radio, Bluetooth, and touchscreen response.

Operating Instructions

The TAFFIO head unit features an intuitive touchscreen interface for easy control of all functions. You can also use the physical buttons on the unit for common operations.

Basic Operation:

• Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button (usually integrated with the volume knob) to turn the unit on or off.
• Volume Control: Rotate the volume knob to adjust the audio level.
• Home Screen: Tap the 'Home' icon on the touchscreen or press the corresponding physical button to return to the main menu.
• Navigation: Tap the 'Navigation' icon to access the GPS system. The unit supports dual-zone function, allowing you to listen to music while navigation is active.
