  • Use only as directed in this manual. Any other use may cause damage or injury.
  • The steam plate becomes very hot during operation. Avoid direct contact with skin and do not touch it immediately after use.
  • Use only distilled or demineralized water to prevent mineral buildup and ensure optimal performance.
  • Do not use the steamer on garments while wearing them.

Setup

1. Filling the Water Tank:

  1. Ensure the steamer is unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. Remove the water tank from the main unit by pulling it downwards.
  3. Open the water tank cap.

  5. Fill the tank with distilled or demineralized water up to the MAX line. Do not overfill.
  6. Close the cap securely and reattach the water tank to the steamer unit until it clicks into place.

2. Power Connection:

  1. Place the steamer on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
  2. Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet (240V).
  3. The steamer will heat up quickly, typically within 30 seconds, indicated by a light on the handle.

Operating Instructions

The Philips Steamer 7000 Series is designed for ease of use, offering both vertical and horizontal steaming capabilities.

1. Steaming Garments:

  1. Hang your garment on a hanger or lay it flat on the included StyleMat.
  2. Press the power button to turn on the steamer. Wait for the indicator light to show it's ready (approx. 30 seconds).
  3. Hold the steamer with the steam plate facing the fabric.

  5. Press and hold the steam trigger to release continuous steam. For continuous steam without holding the trigger, engage the steam lock button.

  7. Move the steam plate slowly over the fabric, from top to bottom, allowing the steam to penetrate and relax the fibers.
  8. For stubborn wrinkles, gently press the steam plate against the fabric. The OptimalTEMP technology ensures no burns on ironable fabrics.
  9. Use the pointed tip of the steam plate for hard-to-reach areas like collars, cuffs, and between buttons.

  11. The steamer also helps refresh clothes and remove odors by killing up to 99.9% of bacteria.

  13. When finished, release the steam trigger (if locked) and press the power button to turn off the steamer.
  14. Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down completely before storing.

2. Using the StyleMat and Protective Glove:

  • The StyleMat can be used as a flat surface for steaming items that are difficult to steam vertically, or for more precise wrinkle removal.
  • Wear the protective glove on the hand not holding the steamer to protect it from hot steam, especially when holding fabric taut.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Steamer:

  • Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down completely before cleaning.
  • Wipe the outer surface of the steamer with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Clean the steam plate with a damp cloth. Do not use sharp objects to remove residue.

Descaling:

To maintain optimal performance and extend the life of your steamer, regular descaling is recommended, especially if you use tap water (though distilled water is preferred).

  1. Mix 50% white vinegar with 50% water.
  2. Fill the water tank with this solution.
  3. Plug in the steamer and allow it to heat up.
  4. Steam until the tank is empty.
  5. Repeat the process with clean, distilled water to rinse out any vinegar residue.
  6. Perform descaling every 1-2 months depending on usage and water hardness.

Storage:

  • Ensure the steamer is completely cool and dry before storing.
  • Empty any remaining water from the tank.
  • Store the appliance in a dry, safe place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
