Setup

1. Charging Your Earbuds:

Before first use, fully charge your Skullcandy Mod earbuds and charging case. The charging case provides up to 27 hours of additional battery life, extending total listening time to 34 hours. A quick 10-minute charge can provide 2 hours of playtime.

2. Initial Pairing:

1. Open the charging case. The earbuds will automatically enter pairing mode.
2. On your device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), go to Bluetooth settings.
3. Select "Skullcandy Mod" from the list of available devices.
4. Once connected, you will hear an audio prompt confirming successful pairing.

3. Multipoint Pairing:

The Skullcandy Mod earbuds support multipoint pairing, allowing connection to two devices simultaneously. This feature enables automatic switching between devices, for example, from a movie on your laptop to an incoming call on your phone.

4. Skullcandy App Customization:

Operating Your Earbuds

Touch Controls:

The Skullcandy Mod earbuds feature touch controls for easy management of audio and calls. Specific functions can be customized via the Skullcandy App.

• Play/Pause: Single tap on either earbud.
• Volume Up/Down: Typically, a tap on the right earbud increases volume, and a tap on the left decreases it (customizable).
• Track Skip: Double tap on the right earbud for next track, double tap on the left for previous track (customizable).
• Answer/End Call: Single tap on either earbud during an incoming call.
• Activate Voice Assistant: Triple tap on either earbud (customizable).

Stay-Aware Mode:

Stay-Aware Mode allows you to hear your surroundings while still enjoying your audio. This feature is useful for maintaining awareness in busy environments or during conversations without removing your earbuds. Activate and manage Stay-Aware Mode through the Skullcandy App.

Clear Voice Smart Mic:

Each earbud is equipped with a Clear Voice Smart Mic that uses artificial intelligence to isolate your voice and reduce background noise. This ensures clear communication during calls, making it feel like a face-to-face conversation.

Tile Integration:

Never lose your earbuds again with integrated Tile technology. Download the Tile app and follow the in-app instructions to activate and track your Skullcandy Mod earbuds.

Maintenance

Cleaning:

Regularly clean your earbuds and charging case to ensure optimal performance and hygiene. Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to wipe down the surfaces. For the ear tips, gently remove them and clean with a damp cloth, ensuring they are completely dry before reattaching.

Water Resistance:

The Skullcandy Mod earbuds are sweat and water resistant (IP55 rated). This means they can withstand light splashes and sweat, making them suitable for workouts and outdoor activities. However, they are not designed for submersion in water. Avoid exposing them to excessive moisture or harsh chemicals.

Troubleshooting

• Earbuds not pairing: Ensure both earbuds are in the charging case and fully charged. Remove them from the case to initiate pairing mode. Check your device's Bluetooth settings and forget previous connections if necessary, then attempt to re-pair.
• One earbud not working: Place both earbuds back in the charging case, close the lid, and wait a few seconds. Open the lid and try again. If the issue persists, try resetting the earbuds (refer to Skullcandy's official support for specific reset instructions).
