Operating Instructions
Jump Starting a Vehicle:
Follow these steps carefully to jump start your vehicle:
- Prepare the Vehicle: Ensure the vehicle's ignition is off and all accessories (lights, radio, etc.) are turned off. Engage the parking brake.
- Connect Jumper Cables to Unit: Insert the smart jumper cable's blue plug firmly into the 12V jump cable socket on the VTOMAN V8 Pro unit.
- Connect Clamps to Battery:
- Connect the RED (+) clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the vehicle's battery.
- Connect the BLACK (-) clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the vehicle's battery.
The smart jumper cable indicator light will show green if the connection is correct. If it shows red or flashes, check your connections for reverse polarity or other issues.
- Start the Vehicle: Once the indicator is green, return to your vehicle and start the engine. If the vehicle does not start on the first attempt, wait at least 30 seconds before trying again. Do not crank for more than 3 seconds per attempt.
- Remove Jumper Cables: As soon as the vehicle starts, immediately remove the clamps from the vehicle battery (first black, then red) and then disconnect the smart jumper cable from the VTOMAN V8 Pro unit.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your VTOMAN V8 Pro, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Unit does not turn on or has low power. | Battery is depleted or below recommended charge level. | Recharge the unit to 100%. Ensure it is at least 75% charged before jump starting. |
| Vehicle does not start after connecting. | Incorrect clamp connection, battery too dead, or vehicle issue. | Check smart jumper cable indicator for red light (reverse polarity). Reconnect clamps correctly. If battery is extremely dead, use 'Boost' function if available. Consult a mechanic if vehicle still won't start. |
| Smart jumper cable indicator shows red or flashes. | Reverse polarity connection or short circuit. | Immediately disconnect clamps. Reconnect the red clamp to the positive (+) terminal and the black clamp to the negative (-) terminal. Ensure no metal parts are touching. |
| Device not charging other electronics. | Low battery on jump starter, incorrect cable, or device not compatible. | Check jump starter's power level. Ensure correct USB or DC cable is used. Verify device compatibility with output voltages. |
