Setup

1. Battery Installation

The LED light requires 3 AAA batteries (not included). To install:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the top of the magnifier frame.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert 3 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Attaching Lenses

The magnifier comes with 5 interchangeable lenses. To attach a lens:

  1. Select the desired magnification lens (1.0x, 1.5x, 2.0x, 2.5x, or 3.5x).
  2. Gently slide the chosen lens into the designated slot on the front of the magnifier frame until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, gently press the release tab (if present) or pull the lens out from the slot.

3. Wearing Options

The magnifier can be worn using either the detachable arms (like glasses) or the elastic headband.

  • Using Detachable Arms: The arms are pre-installed. Simply unfold them and wear the magnifier like a pair of glasses.
  • Using Elastic Headband: To switch to the headband, gently detach the arms from the main frame. Attach the elastic headband by sliding its connectors into the same slots where the arms were removed. Adjust the headband for a comfortable and secure fit around your head.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off the LED Light

Locate the power button for the LED light on the top of the magnifier frame. Press the button once to turn the light on. Press it again to turn it off.

2. Adjusting the Magnifier

  • Lens Angle: The lens assembly can be tilted up or down to achieve the optimal viewing angle for your task.
  • LED Light Angle: The LED light can also be adjusted independently to direct illumination precisely onto your work area.
  • Wearing Over Glasses: The Vision Aid magnifier is designed to fit comfortably over most prescription glasses, providing additional magnification without removing your eyewear.

3. Selecting Magnification

Choose the appropriate lens magnification based on the detail required for your task:

  • 1.0x: For general viewing and slight enlargement.
  • 1.5x: Suitable for reading small print or basic crafts.
  • 2.0x: Ideal for detailed hobbies like model building or cross-stitch.
  • 2.5x: For intricate tasks such as jewelry making or fine electronics repair.
  • 3.5x: For the most precise work, revealing the tiniest details.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

  • Use the provided soft cleaning cloth to gently wipe lenses.
  • For stubborn smudges, a small amount of lens cleaning solution designed for optical surfaces can be applied to the cloth, then wipe the lenses.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, alcohol, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the lens coating or frame material.
  • Clean the frame with a soft, damp cloth as needed.

2. Storage

Always store the magnifier and its lenses in the provided protective storage case when not in use. This prevents scratches, dust accumulation, and damage from accidental drops.

3. Battery Replacement

Replace the 3 AAA batteries when the LED light dims or stops functioning. Refer to the "Battery Installation" section under Setup for instructions.
