1. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

• Read all instructions before operating the toaster.

• Oversize foods, metal foil packages, or utensils must not be inserted in a toaster as they may create a fire or risk of electric shock.
• A fire may occur if toasters are covered or touching flammable material, including curtains, draperies, walls, and the like, when in operation.
• Do not attempt to dislodge food when toaster is plugged in.
• Do not operate unattended.
• Always ensure bread is fully inserted into the slots.
• Empty crumb trays regularly to prevent fire hazards.

3. Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the toaster from its packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
2. Placement: Place the toaster on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials such as curtains or walls. Ensure adequate ventilation around the toaster.
3. Power Connection: Unwind the power cord and plug it into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.
4. Initial Use (Burn-off): Before first use, operate the toaster without bread on the highest browning setting (6) for a few minutes. This will burn off any manufacturing residues and eliminate initial odors. A slight smoke or odor is normal during this process. Allow the toaster to cool completely.

4. Operating Instructions

General Toasting:

1. Insert up to four slices of bread into the toasting slots. The self-centering guides will automatically adjust to hold the bread.
2. Select your desired browning level using the browning control dial (settings 1-6, with 1 being lightest and 6 being darkest).
3. Press down the toasting lever until it locks into place. The toaster will begin toasting.
4. Once the toasting cycle is complete, the toast will automatically pop up.
5. To stop the toasting cycle at any time, press the "CANCEL" button.

Special Functions:

• Bagel Function:
  1. Insert bagel halves into the toasting slots with the cut side facing inwards.
  2. Select your desired browning level.
  3. Press down the toasting lever, then press the "BAGEL" button. The indicator light will illuminate. This function toasts the cut side while gently warming the outer side.
• Defrost Function:
  1. Insert frozen bread into the toasting slots.
  2. Select your desired browning level.
  3. Press down the toasting lever, then press the "DEFROST" button. The indicator light will illuminate. This function extends the toasting time to account for frozen bread.
• Cancel Function:
  1. To stop any toasting cycle prematurely, press the "CANCEL" button. The toasting lever will pop up.

Browning Control:

The browning control dial allows you to select from 6 different browning levels. Experiment to find your preferred setting for various types of bread and personal taste.

• Setting 1-2: Light toast
• Setting 3-4: Medium toast
• Setting 5-6: Dark toast

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

2. Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as these can scratch the surface.
3. Crumb Trays:
   • Locate the removable crumb trays at the bottom of the toaster.
   • Slide out the trays and discard accumulated crumbs.
   • Wipe the trays clean with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly before reinserting.
   • Ensure the crumb trays are fully pushed back into place before using the toaster.
4. Interior Cleaning: Do not insert any objects into the toasting slots to clean. If food becomes lodged, unplug the toaster and carefully remove it once cooled.
