6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Display Modes

The docking station supports various display configurations depending on your operating system and laptop's capabilities.

Windows Display Modes:

Windows systems support both Mirror Mode (SST) and Extend Mode (MST) for triple display setups. Ensure your laptop supports DP1.4 with DSC for optimal resolutions. For some graphics cards that only support 3 monitors, you may need to turn off the host screen to enable triple external displays.

  • Single Display: Up to 4K@60Hz (using HDMI1/DP).
  • Dual Display: Up to 2560x1440@60Hz.
  • Triple Display: Up to 1920x1080@60Hz.

Mac OS Display Modes:

Mac OS (Intel/M1/M2 based) only supports extending one monitor. The external monitors will show the same content (mirror mode or non-mirror mode where external displays are identical but different from the laptop screen). This is a limitation of Mac OS itself, not the docking station.

  • Single Display: Up to 4K@60Hz (using HDMI1/DP).
  • Dual/Triple Display: External monitors will mirror each other, or show content different from the laptop but identical across external displays.

6.2 Power Delivery (PD3.0) Charging

The docking station provides up to 100W Power Delivery (PD3.0) through the upstream USB-C port to your connected laptop, ensuring your device stays charged while in use. It delivers up to 65W to the laptop, with remaining power for the dock and peripherals.
