4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
The Einhell GE-CH 36/61 Li-Solo requires two 18V Power X-Change batteries for operation. Batteries and charger are not included with the tool and must be purchased separately.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Before Operation

5.2 Starting and Stopping the Tool
- To start: Hold the hedge trimmer firmly with both hands. Press and hold the safety switch on the front handle, then simultaneously press the ON/OFF switch on the rear handle. The blades will begin to move.
- To stop: Release either the safety switch or the ON/OFF switch. The blades will stop immediately.
5.3 Cutting Techniques
- Horizontal Cutting: For the top of hedges, hold the trimmer with the blade slightly angled (5-10 degrees) towards the hedge. Move the trimmer steadily along the top, ensuring an even cut.
- Vertical Cutting: For the sides of hedges, hold the trimmer vertically and move it in an arc motion from bottom to top, or top to bottom, depending on comfort and hedge height.
- Avoid cutting branches thicker than the maximum tooth spacing (26 mm).
- Do not force the tool through thick branches; this can damage the blades or motor.
