4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly install your Moman H1 headset on your helmet:

1. Charge the Device: Before first use, fully charge the Moman H1 intercom unit using the provided Type-C charging cable. The charging indicator will show the charging status.
2. Choose Mounting Method: The H1 unit can be attached to your helmet using either the quick-release clip or the 3M double-sided adhesive tape. For a more permanent and secure attachment, especially at high speeds, the 3M tape is recommended.
3. Mount the Intercom Unit:
   • Using the Clip: Slide the quick-release clip onto the edge of your helmet. Ensure it is firmly seated. Then, slide the H1 unit onto the clip until it clicks into place.
   • Using 3M Tape: Clean the desired mounting area on your helmet thoroughly. Peel off the protective film from one side of the 3M tape and apply it to the back of the H1 unit. Peel off the other side and firmly press the H1 unit onto the helmet for at least 30 seconds. Allow the adhesive to cure for several hours before use.
4. Install Speakers: Locate the ear pockets inside your helmet. Place the 40mm HD speakers into these pockets. Use the provided 3M foam pads for speakers to secure them and ensure a comfortable fit. Route the speaker wires neatly under the helmet padding.
5. Install Microphone: Choose either the coiled microphone (for open-face/modular helmets) or the hybrid microphone (for full-face helmets). Attach the microphone to the appropriate position inside your helmet, ensuring it is close to your mouth for optimal voice pickup. Use the 3M foam pads for microphones if needed.
6. Connect Components: Plug the speaker and microphone cables into the corresponding ports on the Moman H1 intercom unit.

5. Operating Instructions

The Moman H1 headset features intuitive controls for easy operation while riding.

5.1 Power On/Off

• Power On: Press and hold the Power button (⏻) for approximately 3 seconds until you hear a voice prompt.
• Power Off: Press and hold the Power button (⏻) for approximately 3 seconds until you hear a voice prompt.

5.2 Bluetooth Pairing (First Time Use)

1. Ensure the H1 unit is powered off.
2. Press and hold the Power button (⏻) for about 5-7 seconds until the LED indicator flashes red and blue alternately, indicating pairing mode.
3. On your mobile phone or Bluetooth device, search for "Moman H1" in the Bluetooth settings.
4. Select "Moman H1" to connect. Once connected, the LED indicator will flash blue slowly, and you will hear a confirmation voice prompt.

5.3 Phone Call Management

• Answer Call: Briefly press the Phone button (📞).
• End Call: Briefly press the Phone button (📞) during a call.
• Reject Call: Press and hold the Phone button (📞) for 2 seconds when a call comes in.
• Redial Last Number: Double-press the Phone button (📞).

5.4 Music Playback

• Play/Pause: Briefly press the Moman button (center button with Moman logo).
• Next Song: Briefly press the Volume Up button (+).
• Previous Song: Briefly press the Volume Down button (-).
• Volume Up: Press and hold the Volume Up button (+).

5.5 Intercom Function

The Moman H1 supports intercom communication between two paired units.

• Pairing Two H1 Units:
  1. Ensure both H1 units are powered off.
  2. On both units, press and hold the Moman button (center button) for 5 seconds until the LED indicators flash red and blue alternately.
  3. Briefly press the Moman button on one of the units. The units will search for each other and automatically connect. Once connected, the LEDs will flash blue slowly.
• Start Intercom: Once paired, the intercom connection is usually automatic. If not, briefly press the Moman button on either unit to initiate intercom.
• End Intercom: Briefly press the Moman button during an intercom conversation.
• Automatic Switching: When playing music or in intercom mode, an incoming phone call will automatically switch the headset to phone mode. After the call ends, the headset will automatically reconnect to the previous mode (music or intercom).
