4. Setup

Follow these steps to properly install your T-Mobile Personal CellSpot 4G LTE Signal Booster.

4.1. Placement of Units

  1. Window Unit (Signal Booster): Place the Window Unit in a location with the strongest available outdoor cellular signal. This is typically near a window. Ensure it is positioned to maximize signal reception from the nearest cell tower.
  2. Coverage Unit (Indoor Antenna): Place the Coverage Unit in the central area where you need improved signal coverage. Ensure there is adequate separation between the Window Unit and the Coverage Unit to prevent oscillation.

4.2. Connecting the Units

  1. Connect Coaxial Cable: Connect one end of the provided coaxial cable to the 'Outdoor' port on the Window Unit and the other end to the 'Indoor' port on the Coverage Unit. Hand-tighten the connectors.
  2. Power On: Connect the power adapter to the Window Unit and plug it into a power outlet. The unit will power on and begin searching for a signal.

4.3. Optimizing Signal

Use the Signal Supervisor app (if available for your model) or the LED indicators on the units to fine-tune the placement of both units for optimal performance. Aim for the highest number of bars or the strongest signal strength indicated.

5.2. Usage

Ensure your T-Mobile device is within the coverage area of the Indoor Antenna. You should observe an increase in signal bars and improved call quality and data speeds. The booster supports 16 simultaneous users.

6. Maintenance

The T-Mobile Personal CellSpot 4G LTE Signal Booster is designed for minimal maintenance.

  • Keep the units clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Ensure proper ventilation around the units to prevent overheating.

    • Ensure the Window Unit is placed in an area with a strong existing outdoor signal.
    • Verify that the coaxial cable connections are secure.
    • Increase the separation distance between the Window Unit and the Coverage Unit.
  • Red Light/Flashing Indicator:
    • This often indicates oscillation. Increase the distance between the Window Unit and the Coverage Unit.
    • Ensure there are no obstructions between the units that might cause signal feedback.
