This watch features a Japanese quartz movement, a scratch-resistant mineral crystal lens, and multi-function subdials for day, date, and 24-hour display.

Key Features

  • Movement: Reliable Japanese Quartz movement for accurate timekeeping.
  • Crystal: Durable mineral crystal lens, resistant to scratches.
  • Dial: Navy blue textured dial with gold-tone luminous hands and markers.
  • Subdials: Three functional subdials displaying day, date, and 24-hour time.
  • Bracelet: Silver-tone adjustable link bracelet with a secure fold-over clasp and safety.
  • Water Resistance: Water resistant to 165 feet (50 meters), suitable for short periods of recreational swimming, but not diving or snorkeling.

Setup Instructions

Before wearing your watch, please follow these steps to set the time and date functions.

1. Setting the Time

  1. Pull out the crown: Gently pull the crown (the knob on the right side of the watch case) out to position 2.
  2. Set the time: Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to move the hour and minute hands to the desired time. Pay attention to the 24-hour subdial to distinguish between AM and PM when setting the date.
  3. Push in the crown: Once the time is set, push the crown back into position 0 to start the watch movement.

2. Setting the Day, Date, and 24-Hour Subdials

The watch features three subdials: one for the day of the week, one for the date, and one for 24-hour time. These are typically adjusted via the crown or small pushers on the side of the case.

  1. Date Adjustment: Pull the crown out to position 1. Rotate the crown counter-clockwise to adjust the date. If the date changes during the day, advance the time by 12 hours.
  2. Day Adjustment: Pull the crown out to position 1. Rotate the crown clockwise to adjust the day of the week.
  3. 24-Hour Subdial: This subdial typically synchronizes with the main hour hand and cannot be set independently. Ensure the main time is set correctly, considering AM/PM, for the 24-hour subdial to display accurately.
  4. Final Step: After setting the day and date, push the crown back into position 0. If you also need to set the time, pull the crown to position 2, set the time, then push it back to position 0.

The bracelet is designed with adjustable links. If the watch does not fit comfortably, it may require professional adjustment by a jeweler to add or remove links. The fold-over clasp with safety ensures a secure fit once adjusted.

Operating Your Watch

Water Resistance Guidelines

Your Armitron watch is water resistant to 165 feet (50 meters). This rating means the watch is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming. However, it is not suitable for diving, snorkeling, or prolonged water activities. To maintain water resistance:

  • Do not operate the crown or pushers when the watch is wet or submerged in water.
  • Ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.
  • Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperature changes (e.g., hot showers followed by cold water), as this can compromise seals.
  • Water resistance is not a permanent condition and may diminish over time. It is recommended to have the water resistance checked periodically by a qualified watch technician.

Care and Maintenance

Cleaning Your Watch

To keep your watch looking its best:

  • Wipe the case and bracelet regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
  • For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the watch's finish.

Battery Replacement

Your watch is powered by a long-life battery. When the battery needs replacement, it is highly recommended to take your watch to an authorized Armitron service center or a reputable jeweler. Attempting to replace the battery yourself may void the warranty and could damage the watch or compromise its water resistance.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your watch, please refer to the following common solutions:

  • Watch Not Running:
    • Check if the crown is fully pushed in (position 0).
    • The battery may need replacement. Consult a professional watch technician.
  • Incorrect Time/Date:
    • Refer to the "Setting the Time" and "Setting the Day, Date, and 24-Hour Subdials" sections to re-adjust.
    • Ensure the crown is fully pushed in after setting.
  • Condensation Inside Crystal:
    • This indicates a breach in water resistance. Avoid further contact with water and seek professional service immediately to prevent damage to the movement.

For issues not covered here, please contact Armitron customer support or an authorized service center.
