4. Setup and First Use

- Power Connection: Unwind the power cord and plug it into a suitable 220V electrical outlet.
- First Use (Burn-off): Before toasting bread for consumption, operate the toaster empty on the highest browning setting (level 6) for a few minutes. This will burn off any manufacturing residues and odors. A slight smoke or odor is normal during this process. Ensure good ventilation.

5.1. Basic Toasting
- Insert slices of bread into the toasting slots. The automatic centering system will position the bread for even toasting.

5.2. Special Functions
- Defrost Function (❄️): Press the defrost button after lowering the lever to toast frozen bread. The toaster will automatically adjust the toasting time to defrost and then toast the bread.
- Reheat Function (♨️): Press the reheat button after lowering the lever to warm up previously toasted bread without further browning.
