1. Safety Information
Please read this manual carefully before installing, operating, or maintaining your appliance. Keep this manual for future reference. Failure to follow these instructions could result in fire, electric shock, or personal injury.
- Gas Safety: Ensure proper ventilation. Gas installation and connection must be performed by a qualified professional in accordance with local regulations. Do not use the appliance if you smell gas.
- Electrical Safety: The appliance must be correctly earthed. Electrical connections should be made by a qualified electrician. Do not operate with wet hands or if the power cord is damaged.
- Burn Hazard: Surfaces become hot during use. Keep children and pets away from the appliance. Use oven mitts when handling hot items.
- General Precautions: Do not store flammable materials near the appliance. Do not use the oven for heating the room.
2. Product Overview
The Simfer FS 5031-1 is a 50 cm freestanding cooker featuring a gas hob with four burners and an electric oven with a 48-liter capacity. It combines efficient gas cooking with versatile electric oven functions.

2.1 Components
- Gas Hob: Four sealed burners with electric spark ignition and thermoelectric safety.
- Control Panel: Knobs for hob burner control, oven temperature, oven functions, and mechanical timer.
- Electric Oven: 48-liter capacity with multiple heating functions and interior lighting.
- Oven Door: Double-glazed with easily removable inner glass for cleaning.
- Accessories: Includes 1 baking tray and 1 grill rack.
3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Unpacking and Inspection
- Carefully remove all packaging materials.
- Inspect the appliance for any damage incurred during transit. Report any damage to your supplier immediately.
- Remove all protective films and stickers from the appliance.
3.2 Placement
The cooker is designed as a freestanding unit. Ensure it is placed on a stable, level surface. Maintain adequate clearance from adjacent walls and furniture as specified in local installation guidelines.

3.3 Gas Connection
Important: Gas connection must be carried out by a qualified and certified gas installer. Ensure the gas supply pressure is compatible with the appliance and that all connections are leak-tested.
3.4 Electrical Connection
Important: Electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified and certified electrician. The appliance requires a 230 Volt electrical supply and must be properly earthed. Ensure the power cord is not trapped or damaged during installation.
3.5 Installing Accessories
Insert the provided baking tray and grill rack into the oven cavity on the desired shelf levels. Ensure they are securely placed before use.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Gas Hob Operation

- Ignition: Push and turn the corresponding hob control knob counter-clockwise to the maximum flame position. Simultaneously press the electric spark ignition button (if separate) or hold the knob in for integrated ignition. Hold the knob for a few seconds after ignition to activate the thermoelectric safety device.
- Flame Adjustment: Once lit, adjust the flame size by turning the knob between the maximum and minimum flame settings.
- Burner Power: The hob features burners with varying power: 0.9 kW, 1.7 kW, and 2.9 kW for different cooking needs.
- Safety: Each burner is equipped with a thermoelectric safety device that automatically cuts off the gas supply if the flame accidentally extinguishes.
4.2 Electric Oven Operation

- Function Selection: Turn the oven function knob to select one of the 4 available heating functions:
- Top Heat
- Bottom Heat
- Top/Bottom Heat
- Grill
- Temperature Setting: Turn the oven temperature knob to set the desired temperature, ranging up to 240°C.
- Mechanical Timer: Use the mechanical timer knob to set cooking duration up to 60 minutes. The oven will switch off automatically when the set time expires.
- Oven Light: The oven is equipped with interior lighting for visibility during cooking.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your appliance.
5.1 General Cleaning
- Always ensure the appliance is switched off and cooled down before cleaning.
- Use a soft cloth and mild detergent for external surfaces. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scourers.
- Clean the hob surface and enamel pan supports regularly to prevent food residue buildup.
5.2 Cleaning the Oven Door Glass
The oven door features easily removable inner glass for thorough cleaning.

- Refer to the diagrams on how to unclip and remove the inner glass panel.
- Wash the glass with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly before re-installing.
5.3 Replacing the Oven Lamp
The oven lamp is easily replaceable.

- Ensure the appliance is disconnected from the power supply and completely cool.
- Unscrew the protective cover and then the old lamp.
- Replace with a new, heat-resistant oven lamp of the correct specification.
6. Troubleshooting
Before contacting service, please check the following common issues:
- Gas Burner Not Lighting: Check if the gas supply is open. Ensure the control knob is pressed in sufficiently during ignition. Clean any blocked burner ports.
- Oven Not Heating: Check if the appliance is properly connected to the electrical supply. Ensure the oven function and temperature knobs are correctly set. Check if the mechanical timer has expired or is set to a cooking duration.
- Oven Light Not Working: Check if the oven lamp needs replacement (refer to Section 5.3).
- Excessive Smoke from Oven: This may occur during initial use due to manufacturing residues. Ensure the oven is clean and preheat it empty for a period to burn off any residues.
If the problem persists after checking these points, contact qualified service personnel.
