5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To clean your Joy-Con 2 controllers, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the finish or internal components.

5.2 Storage

Store the Joy-Con 2 controllers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. When not in use for extended periods, it is recommended to attach them to the Nintendo Switch 2 console or a charging grip to maintain battery health.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Pairing Issues

  • Ensure the Joy-Con 2 controllers are sufficiently charged.
  • Verify that the Nintendo Switch 2 console is powered on and updated to the latest system software.
  • If attaching to the console does not pair them, try pairing wirelessly: From the HOME Menu, select Controllers > Change Grip/Order, then press the SYNC Button on the Joy-Con 2 controller.

6.2 Unresponsive Buttons or Analog Sticks

  • Clean around the buttons and analog sticks to remove any debris.
  • Recalibrate the analog sticks and motion controls through the Nintendo Switch 2 system settings: From the HOME Menu, select System Settings > Controllers and Sensors.
  • Ensure the system software is up to date.

6.3 Short Battery Life

  • Ensure the Joy-Con 2 controllers are fully charged before use.
