4.3 Mounting the Thermometer
The main unit can be placed using one of the following methods:
- Flip-out Desk Stand: Extend the stand on the back of the unit to place it on a flat surface.
- Wall-Mounting: Use the designated mounting hole on the back of the unit to hang it on a screw or hook.
- Magnetic Attachment: Utilize the magnetic hook-and-loop attachment to secure the unit to a metallic surface.
5. Operation
5.1 Power On/Off
The thermometer powers on automatically once batteries are installed. There is no manual power off button; the unit operates continuously until batteries are depleted or removed.
5.2 Reading Temperatures
The triple display shows the current temperature, along with the recorded minimum (MIN) and maximum (MAX) temperatures since the last reset. These values update continuously.
5.3 Switching Temperature Units (Fahrenheit/Celsius)
To switch between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C), locate the 'MODE' button on the front of the unit. Press the 'MODE' button to toggle the display between the two units.
5.4 Setting Alarms (Max/Min)
The thermometer allows you to set desired maximum and minimum temperature limits. An audible and visual alarm will activate if the temperature goes above the set maximum or below the set minimum.
- Press and hold the 'EVENT' button to enter alarm setting mode.
- Use the 'MODE' button to adjust the desired maximum temperature.
- Press 'EVENT' again to confirm the maximum temperature and move to setting the minimum temperature.
- Use the 'MODE' button to adjust the desired minimum temperature.
- Press 'EVENT' one more time to save the settings and exit alarm setting mode.
5.5 Resetting Min/Max Readings

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
To clean the thermometer, wipe it with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water, despite its waterproof feature, to prevent damage to the display or internal components.
6.2 Battery Replacement
When the low-battery indicator appears on the display, replace the two AA batteries as described in the 'Battery Installation' section (4.1). Prompt battery replacement ensures continuous and accurate temperature monitoring.
7. Troubleshooting
- Display is blank or dim: Check battery installation and replace batteries if necessary. Ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarity.
- Inaccurate readings: Ensure the probe is correctly positioned and not obstructed. Verify that the probe cable is intact. If issues persist, contact technical support.
- Alarm not triggering: Double-check the set maximum and minimum alarm limits as described in section 5.4. Ensure the current temperature is outside these limits to trigger the alarm.
- Difficulty programming: Refer to section 5.4 for detailed steps on setting alarm limits. If the buttons are unresponsive, try replacing the batteries. For persistent issues, contact technical support.
