- Dry the blades thoroughly to prevent rust.
- Apply a light coat of oil to the blades for protection and smooth operation.
Blade Replacement
- When blades become dull or damaged, they can be replaced. The tool includes a change tool (often an Allen key) for this purpose.
- Refer to the detailed instructions in the full product manual for specific blade replacement steps.
- Replacement blades are available from authorized DEWALT dealers.
Storage

- Always remove the battery pack before storing the tool for extended periods.
- Keep the blades closed and protected when not in use.
Troubleshooting
- Tool not powering on: Ensure the battery is fully charged and properly inserted. Check if the safety switch is disengaged.
- Blades not cutting cleanly: Inspect blades for dullness or damage. Clean blades of any accumulated sap or debris. Consider replacing blades if they are worn.
- Tool stops working unexpectedly: Remove the battery and inspect for any visible damage or moisture. This tool is not designed for use in wet conditions; exposure to rain can cause malfunction.
