5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Powering On and Initial Settings
- Ensure all connections are correct and secure.
- Turn the Voltage (6, 8) and Current (7, 9) adjustment knobs counter-clockwise to their minimum settings (0V, 0A).
- Press the Power Switch (14) to turn on the unit. The LED display will illuminate.
5.2. Setting Voltage and Current
The SPS-3010 allows continuous adjustment of voltage and current using coarse and fine potentiometers:

Figure 4: Adjusting voltage and current using coarse and fine adjustment knobs.
- Voltage Adjustment: Use the V-COARSE (6) knob for large changes and the V-FINE (8) knob for precise adjustments.
- Current Adjustment: Use the A-COARSE (7) knob for large changes and the A-FINE (9) knob for precise adjustments.
- Pre-setting Current (without load): To set the current limit before connecting a load, temporarily short the output terminals (red and black) with a suitable wire. Adjust the current knobs to the desired limit. Remove the shorting wire before connecting your actual load.
5.3. Auto C.V. (Constant Voltage) and C.C. (Constant Current) Mode
The Jesverty SPS series automatically switches between Constant Voltage (C.V.) and Constant Current (C.C.) modes based on the load conditions:

Figure 5: The power supply automatically transitions between CV and CC modes.
- C.V. Mode: When the load resistance is high, the output voltage remains constant at the set value, and the current varies according to the load. The C.V. indicator (4) will be lit.
- C.C. Mode: When the load resistance is low (or a short circuit occurs), the output current remains constant at the set limit, and the voltage drops. The C.C. indicator (5) will be lit.
- The V and A settings you establish define the crossover point at which the mode switches.
5.4. USB Charging Function
The integrated 5V/2A USB port (10) allows you to charge compatible devices directly from the power supply:

Figure 6: The 5V/2A USB port provides convenient charging for various devices.
- Simply connect your USB device to the USB port (10) on the front panel.
- This port provides a fixed 5V output at up to 2A, independent of the main DC output settings.
5.5. Automatic Power Calculation
The power supply automatically calculates and displays the output power (W) based on the real-time voltage and current readings:

Figure 7: The 4-digit LED display provides real-time readings of V, A, and W.
- The power display (3) updates continuously, providing immediate feedback on the power consumption of your connected load.
- The display resolution is up to 0.01V, 0.001A, and 0.1W.
