5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Basic Observation
- Select Magnification: Rotate the objective lens turret to select the desired magnification (100X, 600X, or 1200X).
- Focus: Use the coarse adjustment knob for large movements and the fine adjustment knob for precise focusing until the image on the screen is clear.
- Adjust Lighting: The microscope features both top and bottom LED lights. Adjust their intensity using the dedicated control knobs to achieve optimal illumination for your specimen. The bottom light is ideal for transparent specimens (slides), while the top light is suitable for opaque objects (coins, rocks).

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning Lenses and Screen: Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical surfaces to clean the lenses and touchscreen. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
- General Cleaning: Wipe the microscope body with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, ensuring no moisture enters the device.
- Storage: Store the microscope in a clean, dry environment away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use the provided carrying case or a dust cover to protect it when not in use.
- Battery Care: For optimal battery life, charge the microscope regularly and avoid fully discharging it for extended periods.
7. Troubleshooting
- No Power: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected and the outlet is functional. If using battery power, ensure the battery is charged.
- No Image on Screen: Check that the microscope is powered on and the objective lens is correctly rotated into position. Verify that the specimen is properly placed and illuminated.
- Blurred Image: Adjust the coarse and fine focus knobs. Ensure the specimen is flat on the stage and the correct magnification is selected for the working distance.
- PC Connection Issues: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the microscope and the computer. Confirm that the correct camera application is open on your PC or Mac.
- Touchscreen Unresponsive: Restart the microscope. If the issue persists, ensure the screen is clean and free from obstructions.
