4. Setup

The bottom light is ideal for transparent specimens (slides), while the top light is suitable for opaque objects (coins, rocks).

5.2. Using the Touchscreen Controls

The 9-inch IPS touchscreen allows for direct interaction with the microscope's functions:

• Capture Images/Videos: Tap the camera or video icon on the screen to take photos or record footage of your observations.
• Measure and Edit: Utilize the on-screen tools to draw lines, circles, ovals, and squares, and to perform measurements directly on the live or captured image.

5.3. PC Connectivity

1. Connect the microscope to your Windows PC or Mac using the provided USB cable.
2. For Windows 10, open the default "Windows Camera" application. For Mac, open "Photo Booth."
3. The microscope's live feed should appear on your computer screen.

5.4. Mouse Connection

For enhanced control and to prevent image shaking during touch operations, you can connect a USB mouse to the microscope's USB port. This allows you to navigate menus and activate functions without directly touching the screen.

5.5. X-Y Stage Operation

The X-Y axis adjustable object stage allows for precise horizontal and vertical movement of your specimen. Use the stage adjustment knobs located beneath the stage to carefully position your sample for optimal viewing.
